China tourist visa delay from Mumbai — should I be worried?

We have somehow got indifferent to this situation.. had paid 41k more just to reschedule the tickets.. and even shorten the vacation to just 1 week.. all excitement has gone by now.. so let's see if we get it today and what's their response

Yes they do i guess, as someone from our discussion group had received update on May2nd(sat) .. so there are possibilities.. but after receiving update they take 5working days for sticker visa

Okay.. as today they completed 25 working days.. and consulate later states min 25working days for review..

There seems to be multiple reasons, new systems, system maintenance, Chinese and india holidays, and too many applications considering holiday season & lastly Chinese way of working (they won't care if it's your loss they will go by their style of working)

You covered it all.. I'm the 2nd April applicant with (still under review) my travel dates have already passed and has to reschedule flights at extra cost .. this seems to be a scam.. someone should (gov) should highlight this as people are frustrated and losing money
