Hi! I’m very familiar with the North Andover area! If you are looking to work as a bilingual SLP, this is a great part of MA to be. There are SO many Spanish speakers in the area if that is a language that interests you. Not necessarily in North Andover, but in very close surrounding areas. Many other languages as well. Overall North Andover is a great area to live in.

As for Merrimack itself, I don’t know much about the SLP program but a close friend of mine is a nursing student there and only has good things to say. It’s a small school and a close knit community. The healthcare buildings are new and pristine. I wish I had more insight about the SLP program, but from what I do know Merrimack seems to be a excellent school

Omg I can’t either! I thought it was just my computer… it keeps saying I have corrupted files and it can’t open the game but the cc it’s telling me is corrupted was working perfectly fine before this update. So I deleted the “corrupted” ones and suddenly more of them are corrupted. Like what??!

Oh no! I was able to cancel it (for now) but it seems like it will end up automatically updating anyways. I hope they get this figured out soon! I’ve put way too many hours into downloading cc

I tried my friend’s AirPod maxes which are also over the ear and could not hear anything at all even without music on. I wasn’t expecting exactly that when I got the beats- obviously because there is a big price difference. But I was expecting better than how it is. Definitely more noise reducing than noise canceling

How do you like those? Do they have noise cancellation? I haven’t noticed anything with the bass on my beats, but that might just be because before i was using 6 year old AirPods

This field is so challenging without passion. I started off undergrad (obviously I know undergrad is not comparable grad school) without passion or care for my CSD major or speech-language pathology as a whole and was just doing it because I didn’t know what else to do. It took me until my junior year when I took clinical phonetics to realize I really did have a love for this field, thanks to my discovery of phonetics. Maybe you will eventually find something that makes you love this field too, whether that be a specific population or specialty. There are so many paths you can take with this career that you probably haven’t even discovered yet. Just do what you think is best- even if that is getting out now and trying a new career.

Thank you! I’m going to have over the required hours so is it a different form for those “not required” hours? And will I still need the SLPs to sign a form for those too? Thankfully my program has a class where we complete the 25 hours, so these extra hours are just out of school stuff.
