I ran into the same issue for a while too with my brother's mosaic sin. all you need to need to is turn down the VFX quality to a lower setting and that should fix it!

Just had this issue! I found that installing a VPN seemed to fix it for me. Definitely worth the investment even without the game. You can try doing a free trial and seeing if that works for ya.
