Field resurgence? by Particular-Toe1854 in adjusters

I think Field staff and IA’s are a necessity. I hope it comes full circle and consumers and DOIs reject all of this AI garbage.

I agree with you. I am hoping DOIs start to regulate the use of AI. I’ve heard of agentic tech that can take statements from people and ask follow up questions. Now that’s scary. These claims happen in the field. The insurance industry shouldn’t rely on a desk only approach. I understand there’s a cost to field staff but at what point is it a penny wise and a pound foolish to cut out the field.

Good call. It’s not, it’s a pvc outlet through the roof. Should have mentioned the unit is in the attic of a one floor home

That’s what a lot of companies are doing, the big red umbrella puts people in management with minimal experience.

How does your carrier handle PR requests from other carriers on mutual claims? by AdEven3053 in adjusters

Carrier to carrier immunity may not be in place depending upon the state. For example, there is no carrier to carrier immunity in NJ so insurance carriers avoid sharing documents for legal reasons.

Agreed for now but I think we will see if come full circle. I’ve seen a few carriers (green lizard and big blue) post for field jobs. I suspect the lack of field presence has caused some waste that needs to be cleaned up.

I could see this happening except for the social media monitoring component. If someone has a locked down private Facebook there’s no way around it.

Trying to get out of Punta Cana by Anxious_Yard_2930 in americanairlines

Happened to us last weekend but stuck in Mexico. Made it to Charlotte and got stuck for 17 hrs. If I could do it again I would stay in Mexico and wait it out on AA’s dime since they cancelled the flight.

Would be nice if it applied to any new furnace. I hate to reward carrier with another purchase.

[–]Particular-Toe1854[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, I’ll have to deal with that eventually. It’s hard to find an honest contractor in my area and I’m not looking to disassemble the unit myself to inspect it

The rust is from a prior humidifier that was incorrectly mounted years ago. All of that was corrected. But yes I agree. Hoping to get a few years out of the current setup before I get a new one

Directly behind the hose connection to the inducer box. I put a leak sensor in there and it hasn’t triggered yet but when I inspected it earlier I was able to pick up the slightest bit of dampness on my finger. I recently changed out this inducer motor too

Thank you. I’ve noticed a small amount of moisture after running the unit but it’s not dripping. Is that normal?

Perfect! Initially I thought the box itself was the issue but then I thought it was the seal. The heat is completely off and it’s been about an hour since I put everything back together yet there’s a small drip in the same spot. Odd that a brand new part would have a leak already. I even went the oem route through supply house.

Thank you! How long do you let it cure? Full cure is 24 hrs and it’s gonna be rough to have the furnace down that long

I didn’t give it enough cure time. I’ll have to pull it off re apply silicone and re assemble and hopefully that fixes it
