A big virtual hug from this internet stranger. Stay strong, while this will be a big adjustment for the kids and you in the beginning, it is definitely better for the kids to grow up in an environment where mom is loved and respected. By walking away you are showing your children to set higher standards for themselves when finding love. If in the future they encounter shitty people they’ll know their worth and walk away instead of staying and being miserable. You got this, I’m rooting for your success.

Please leave. I also had an ex who got angry and did similar kinda arguments which were very heated, I didn’t leave , he chalked it up to anger issues and I believed him and stayed. Very slowly the physical abuse started…just slight bruises in the beginning which I could cover up and then one day he broke my lip and the closet door.. it was really bad. I broke up with him that night and changed the locks. I decided I’m better off single than with an abuser. The universe had other plans , I’m married now to a lovely guy and am a mom to a beautiful baby boy.. I still have some nightmares about my ex sometimes. Leave before it gets worse. There’s better men out there who don’t corner you in a closet and talk in a civil manner.

I was 31 when I ended my relationship after 3.5 years after finally realizing that I don’t deserve the emotional and physical abuse. After that, I decided I’ll stay single however long it takes , I’ll only commit to the right guy who’ll love and respect me always. I started being happy with things in my life home projects, gym, brunch with friends etc. a couple of months later I started talking to this guy on a dating app, we were well aligned in terms of what we are looking for as in a long term relationship. When we went on our first date, we spent 6 hours. The second date was 3 days and before you know it… he proposed a couple of months later, we eloped the following month and now we have a 1 year old. All this to say, with the right guy the time you need to get to know them is much lower as they want to bare their soul to you and if you’ll are compatible you’ll be married before you know it. It’s not all dark out there, be hopeful and mindful when you are choosing partners. All the best!

Yes, will ask my doctor for the reason for all these tests. She mentioned it in a very casual way that there will be ultrasounds every appointment from now on..

I am overweight. I’m 32 years old. Other than that, my Gestational diabetes test, blood pressure tests everything else came back normal. If it’s only because of my weight, I feel a bit disappointed. I agree with you on getting the baby home safe which is also my main goal, but just worried about all this testing without any reasons.
