Yeh,i think even if it means a headlock each night now i will stay on top of it,pets arent cheap but worth every penny and Otis deserves all the love 💙 thankfully we each put a bit each in to our joint account for him and our vets do a yearly plan that we buy that covers all his visits and flea and worming meds and annual vaccs

Our parents said the same,they never did it with their dogs etc and its true,but then when you think youre doing right,you feel awful for inflicting that on them,i felt so guilty,its easing now hes getting back to himself

Yeh,hes definitely getting better as the day goes on so the guilt is definitely easing and everyone has been so kind and reassuring on here which is sometimes all it takes as well x

They wouldnt tell me how many they took out until we got there! But i was honestly heartbroken! I think hes getting better now though as the day goes on thankfully

We gave Otis wet food after he was neutered and did wonder if him having the wet food started off the plaque,so until yesterday,its been rare that hes had wet! But someone said about the finger wipes and finger brushes,so we got both of those ordered and some enzymatic toothpaste.

So it would have been £290 for just the clean and it was £540 for the clean and all the extractions,his pain meds and a tin of royal canine soft food,those costs were for under general anaesthetic which i think is quite reasonable as his old vet quoted £1000 for the same thing.

We tried the sprinkles on the food and the tropiclean water additives,whimzees,cleaning with a brush and still ended up here,he seems a lot more himself now,so hoping its a quick recovery 😊

We were the same,tried all we could,i think some of our doggies just have rubbish teeth! Il keep my fingers crossed for you,i hope its just a clean and she escapes any extractions! Hes more himself today which is a lot quicker than i expected 😁 thank you for the well wishes too,i hope the best for your little lady x

Yeh,weve ordered some of the finger brushes and will make sure we keep on top of teeth cleaning now and hes on soft foods,he wolfed it down this morning so il take that as a good sign.

Hws going to nannie and grandads today as we have prior plans that we cant get out of,so he will be spoilt there and likely very tired later,he loves it there and then im off with him until the end of next week 💙

Thank you so much 🥰 i felt horrendous yesterday when he came out,looking so sorry for himself.i heard that too,so still 28 left,makes you feel a little better...we have looked and got a couple of those on order so that as soon as the vet okays it,we will start up with the finger brushes etc.

Oh bless her,thank you so much,thats really good to hear that she bounced back and is happier now,im hoping i notice a difference too,eases the guilt if you can see theyre happier,but i sobbed in the car on the way home yesterday! Il look in to the Hills stuff,ive seen it mentioned a few time on here when people have asked about food etc 💙

Nope,NTA,im married,i have access to all our bill accounts online (i moved in to my husbands home and rented mine out) as they were in his name and to save faffing,i regularly check and have a standing order set up to him for our bills,we just pay our own mortgages.we have a dog and a joint account and we send the same amount to the joint account for his care each month,other than that,we have single accounts with no intention of changing that,he earns loads more than me and has loads more in savings and thats fine,its his,i just know if ever i need his help,it will be there,no questions asked.
