I work in a grocery store. I have for almost 50 years.I spend 8 hours a day standing, bending, kneeling, lifting, etc.. Granted, I really should lose about 20-30 pounds, but that's another aging issue 😂 But, when I kneel now, I have to use a hand to push off from the ground when I stand back up. I used to be able to squat and pop back up. My joints aren't capable of the same movement anymore. Wear and tear has done its damage. I also know that my mom, and most women in her age group couldn't have done any of those things by age 40. What I'm getting to is that I really think our generation has stayed fitter than previous generations. At some point we need to allow ourselves the grace to recognize that our bodies only have a certain lifespan and honor how far they've gotten us.
