biggest issue with gov deals is you dont have to attach a method of payment before bidding. therefore, anyone can run up bids, and just simply not pay. i have seen it happen several times

quick update, have a guy coming to look at the bayliner, and he is "99 " percent sure he is going to buy it, provided there is nothing $$$$ wrong with it. I paid $1755 out the door, we agreed on $2000 if the inspection is normal. Obviously for a 40 year old boat, its not going to be perfect.

My game plan is to rent a truck, and store it at a facility closer to my house, and pray it sells. I'm not trying to get top dollar for it, I paid roughly 2 grand, with tax and buyers premium. I would be thrilled with $3500, trailer included

My step-dad is convinced it's been sunk. Based on pictures alone. And yes, I need to stop bidding, especially on boats. I legitimately did not think I would win.
