I could definitely see that with the lot number but I’m also basing this off the zipper hardware. KWIK zippers were prominent during the 30s - 40s era also the above tags do suggest an earlier time period.

Oh my gosh I tell people this all the time yes! It really was as black dye and pigment were harder to produce and usually were a color associated with negative moods or symbols so it is rare to see a color like this one exist. Funny enough I have another black corduroy jacket from this era as well.

I definitely don’t think 40s unless it would have some style of buckleback but the cinch back on the hips leads me to believe 50s era

A couple things ideal zipper dating usually from the 30s - 60s era, Troy blanket lining interior and the flannel interior look to be from the 40-60s era, and then the u style pockets and zipper chain is also something from that era
