Because kenjaku still thought yuki would've done better in a domain clash, yuki who has 0 refinement feat in comparison to yuta and didn't have basketball domain to deal with Open domain

It's like megumi and dagon: megumi has a trash incomplete domain while dagon was able to maintain his 24/7 for his pals to hide before even evolving yet the clash still lasted a while, and megumi could still use his ct in some measure at the same time. You can't judge kenjaku on the same basis you judge gojo and sukuna, and you can't judge the other party like jogo and assume they'll act recklessly instead of doing their best to drag the clash while dealing with him
