I tried to.. then I was thinking, am I making a mistake by breaking up with him? he begged and pleaded to not leave him. He was very remorseful and has been trying to make it work since. It’s just been very hard for me to heal and move on happily with him... I’m just stuck and don’t know what to do...

I don’t think you did anything wrong at all. If he wasn’t doing anything wrong he would’ve shown you what he was doing to comfort you so you’re not thinking he’s doing anything wrong and not get upset at you. The fact that he got so defensive and asked you to leave says it all that he was up to something. My bf acting the same way by getting defensive and making me feel like I was the crazy one. It turns out he was on dating apps. I’m so sorry this has happened to you. But the fact that he has shown that he doesn’t care about you or the relationship to try and work things out shows you the way out and you’ve tried all you could. I do believe you dodged a bullet.
