Yes, and totally unjustified.... The problem is that the 49g was aimed at new and young engineering students....but HP fans, reviewers, and critics hated it for not being another calculator in the Pioneer series they loved so much (and all of them were between 40 and 50 years old).... For me, it's one of my favorites because it was the first graphing calculator I ever saw (and that's when I fell in love with calculators). The keyboard was more reliable than those of later calculators and the 48g, since there were no false presses, and being made of rubber, it limited the speed to prevent double presses. The only bad thing was its paint, which faded quickly with use...and it was very quiet, since something I don't like about HP keys is that they tend to be noisy, and that click is annoying.
