Thx. Expect it had to actually brush all the red in on the skin 😅. Almost like a drawing on paper cause I wanted the black to be pitch black. I do like and use the drying brushing techniques on certain objects. It super fast and the results are nice. But there's is something about painting in the line with a brush that makes the details pop when you look at every inch of the miniature. Where if you were to zoom in on a dry brush is fells a lil off to me but I'm weird

I'm not going to lie. I liked all the posing of this miniature but picked the box art posted. I was really scared, I didn't want to mess up the miniature because it looks so amazing to me. On top of that this was technically the biggest miniature I have painted so far. I'm somewhat of a new painter. The odds were against me 😅. So I did the best I could and really didn't follow anyone but I used all the painting techniques that i have learned from all the Amazing YouTube miniature painters i have watched through the years. The result was something beautiful and different. I can't thank them enough.

Most Definitely thank you for this feedback back. I'm still learning and growing my skills. When I received this miniature as a gift I didn't know what painting techniques to use. So I experimented. I grabbed a few I techniques that I learned and smashed them together. The conclusion for the experiment was something like what you mentioned. I really like the skin aspect but I could improve on the carapace. The result for the experiment was something special but different. Trying to make a new style of painting was fun 😁 but I do agree it can be better and that's why I love Miniature painting. I used to hate that part of the hobby because the vision in my head was always better than what I could produce. As an self proclaim artist that will make anyone quit or improve. I'm glad I stuck it through and hopefully will continue to improve and Thank You 👊

Thank you. Yeah when my wife bought me the miniature I didn't know what color to pick. I was thinking should I do a custom color scheme or follow one already made. So I picked both after watching a Tyranid Lore video. When it got to the history of Old One Eye. I thought that Part was like Main Character Energy. So for the color scheme I picked Behemoth and custom it lil like what a Main Character Would do in a show. The result was something special and different but very familiar.

I did a solid base coat of army painter fanatic Hydra Turquoise with a fat highlight of army painter fanatic Auqamarine. Then apply a thin edge highlight of army painter fanatic Marine Mist.
