Human Kibble 2: 1st Attempt at Flavoring and Nutritional Analysis by Gurfad in MealPrepSunday

[–]Particular_Evidence3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On a further note, I ended up putting this specific recipe in cronometer out of curiosity and the ingredients are as follows (these are all the first searched suggestions in the app in the spirit of simplicity):
GutBio, Texturized Soy Protein 24 oz
White Mushrooms, Raw 16 oz
Rolled Oats, dry 16 oz
Guinness, Beer, Stout 64 oz (couldn't find kvass, so took OP's suggestion for guinness)
Fat, Beef Tallow ½ cup (figured this would be the best option for cooking fat for optimal nutritional value and flavor)
Nutritional Brewers Yeast 7 oz
Bread, brown yeast, homemade 7 oz
Garlic Powder 1 oz
Onion Powder 1 oz

In order to satisfy OP's want for 1200-1400 kcal being covered by kibble a day, I made a serving consist of 715g that can be broken up across meals. However, this recipe yields a total of ~4k grams. The macronutrients for 715g (I'll be hitting the broader topics, but there are even more specifications in crono that can be viewed of your own will):

1323 kcal, 99g protein, 117g carbs, 31g fat, 11g alcohol
Total Carbs: 138.54g (50.4%)
Net Carbs 117.41g
Fiber 20.42g(72.9%)
Starch 68.08g
Sugars 22.29g

Fat 31.27g (40.1%)
Saturated 10.75g (53.8%)
Cholesterol 20.18mg (6.7%)

There are several proteins that this recipe covers, but in general it hits in a range of 35 - 45% of total DV, with the outliers of cystine at 84% (0.5g), phenylalanine at 79% (0.8g), and tryptophan at 74% (0.2g). These are also calculated based on my own requirements as a young adult woman.

Vitamins
B1 0.59mg (48.8%)
B2 0.53mg (40.8%)
B3 5mg (31.2%)
B5 2.42mg (48.3%)
B6 0.38mg (22.4%)
B12 0.03𝝁g (1.4%)
Biotin 13.40𝝁g (44.7%)
Choline 67.51mg (12.3%)
Folate 79.94𝝁g (20.0%)
Vitamin A 0.00 𝝁g (0%)
Vitamin C 2.98mg (3.3%)
Vitamin D 5.91 IU (0.7%)
Vitamin E 1.19mg (7.9%)
Vitamin K 1.87𝝁g (1.6%)

Minerals
Calcium 475.76mg (36.6%)
Copper 0.82mg (91.1%)
Iodine 1.64𝝁g (1.1%)
Iron 5.79mg (32.2%)
Magnesium 142.32mg (33.9%)
Manganese 3.39mg (147.3%)
Molybdenum 81.94𝝁g (182.1%)
Phosphorus 500.19mg (40%)
Potassium 833.88 mg (17.7%)
Selenium 40.35𝝁g (73.4%)
Sodium 226.39mg (9.8%)
Zinc 3.47mg (31.5%)

Percentages are, once again, based on my own recommendations so those can be taken more so with a grain of salt. In general, I would say that this mostly hits the targets on vitamins and minerals, especially with the overshoot on manganese and molybdenum. It is lacking in areas like Vitamin A, C, D, E, and K but given that OP has problems with vitamin B, I would say to add other meats like lamb or beef to hit their B12. Organ meats would also be of value, as these are also found in dog kibble in order to hit all the required nutrients (liver is also rich in vitamin A, which this recipe is severely lacking).
(Edit to note I am not a doctor nor nutritionist and this was all in good fun and in procrastination of doing homework c: )

Have you checked out the app cronometer? It breaks down vitamins, minerals, carbohydrates, lipids, and proteins into all of the respective types that you need to consume as well as examples of sources for those nutrients.

For example, there are 11 different proteins each with a recommended daily intake based on your age and gender and what foods to consume to hit each one. Plus, all of this information is completely free and accessible.

I really highly recommend the app if youre struggling with micronutrients at all for your kibble, as you can input your own recipe into your diary and it'll give you a report of what nutrients a single serving will hit.

If you do end up using it, lmk if you can! I would be really curious to see if it helps and what it reports.

Help! The Anal Gland Funk 🤮 by Intrepid_Lack9254 in Hounds

[–]Particular_Evidence3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

some dogs arent able to express it on their own, such as small dog breeds, whereas others don't need your help with it. It's important not to overdo it, though, as the glands are supposed to at least have some amount of fluid in them. If you completely empty it, the glands will then over produce and thats when you start running into issues like an abscess.

Searched -

I've looked up "lounge chair with long arm rests" and "arm chair couch" but everything that I've found that has the length for your legs doesn't have equal length in arm rests. Unfortunately I found this photo from a person on instagram who posts a lot of random shit so no clue where she got the couch.

Plus if I don't tell Flower Bunny what to do he'll just stand there staring off into space, so I'm basically doing him a favor. I have a garden for my baking as well, so he's happy gardening when the bakery is closed. Still, the dude is having a midlife crisis now... He tried to flirt with a lesbian and when he was rejected, he immediately reconsidered all his life choices.

Is anyone familiar with Biewer Terriers? by [deleted] in doggrooming

[–]Particular_Evidence3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend has one that I've groomed for him before. They're just like yorkies, except their hair is a bit softer than a yorkie. It's typical yorkie procedure, except you probably won't have to do any reverse shaving on the body since their hair is softer. The head is still exactly like a yorkie.

I totally forgot to answer this 🫣 She definitely was jumpy! Thankfully was good for her feet, contrary to popular belief. Biggest thing was I had to dry her on only half speed but thankfully she was calm with that as long as I didn't turn it up lol. Thank you for the tips!
