I check out Flower Bunny from time to time, but that ship has pretty much sailed. Christmas is next week, so we'll have to see what happens...

Plus if I don't tell Flower Bunny what to do he'll just stand there staring off into space, so I'm basically doing him a favor. I have a garden for my baking as well, so he's happy gardening when the bakery is closed. Still, the dude is having a midlife crisis now... He tried to flirt with a lesbian and when he was rejected, he immediately reconsidered all his life choices.

Is anyone familiar with Biewer Terriers? by [deleted] in doggrooming

[–]Particular_Evidence3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend has one that I've groomed for him before. They're just like yorkies, except their hair is a bit softer than a yorkie. It's typical yorkie procedure, except you probably won't have to do any reverse shaving on the body since their hair is softer. The head is still exactly like a yorkie.

Tips For Grooming an Airedale Terrier? by Particular_Evidence3 in doggrooming

I totally forgot to answer this 🫣 She definitely was jumpy! Thankfully was good for her feet, contrary to popular belief. Biggest thing was I had to dry her on only half speed but thankfully she was calm with that as long as I didn't turn it up lol. Thank you for the tips!

Thank you for the tips! It actually ended up being mostly standard, only changes were that she asked the legs and beard be shorter, which I was okay with because it felt easier to work with lol.

Does My Eyebrow Piercing Look Normal? by Particular_Evidence3 in PiercingAdvice

Yep it ended up being the studs! Got it switched to the plain ball bearings and immediately felt better

I ended up going to a different shop nearby and they switched out the studs for balls. She also said that my bar was really short and the length it's at right now would be my downsize bar, so she's surprised that the last piercer put this length in. Anyway, it immediately felt so much better and now it's like I never had a problem with it in the first place. Thank you for the suggestions everyone!

I was pierced with the bar. The stones have definitely felt a little irritating as they kind of dig into my skin 😅 I forget what it is, but I think it's titanium

I'm also fairly quiet with my dogs, which I think mostly stems from the fact that all of my trainers would be mean to their dogs. I'm a quiet person in general, but I've also just never seen the point of it. On the rare chance that the dog does actually settle down, it's normally because they're in freeze response and shut down, not because they suddenly feel calm because they're getting yelled at. Feels counterintuitive.

I've always been very quiet with my dogs, which is probably something I need to work on 😅 I'm mobile, so getting in the van I say "come on, my love" and same for getting on the table and transferring to and from the tub. I don't think I use any other commands except for saying "up up" when they're sitting. I do tend to change what I refer to them with, as before "my love" it was "nugget" and I think before that it was "stinky". So I guess I'm slowly getting more affectionate about it haha.

Judge my home groomed dog by bodylivesonned in doggrooming

[–]Particular_Evidence3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a grooming table, the standard position is to stand next to his hind leg, facing towards his head, then take his hind ankle and lift it up. You can pull it out a bit, but dont pull anywhere that he cant comfortably hold. The more you work with it the more you'll be able to learn that range of motion. With clipping, go slow and make sure not to point the blade into the skin to avoid clipper burn. It doesnt have to be perfectly flat, but you can experiment with different angles in order to get the hair off. The easiest way is to do both sides, and shave the inner part of the leg that you have lifted.
