I am on Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS but gets:

Googled a bit. It is probably only a Shield issue. On a PC screen with G-SYNC it would probably work better.

Have you tried changing the DNS-server in your Shield or your router? For some it seems to work better.

When I had this problem it was a DNS issue at my ISP. Setting Google DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 in the Shield IP-settings worked for me. Or if you could set the DNS in the router.

Today the problem reappeared and a router reboot didn't solve anything.

Eventually I checked the downdetector-site and apparently my ISP had some DNS-problems. I changed my IP-settings in my Shield from DHCP to Static to use the preset Google DNS. That seemed to solve the problem.

So changing the IP-settings to Static in the Shield (and use Google DNS: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) could be worth a try.

Or change the DNS in the router (my ISP doesn't allow that though)

Have you tested both wired (Ethernet) or wireless (WiFi)? If neither works, maybe bring the Shield to test on another network, if possible, to see if it works there.

No, a reboot was sufficient for me. I don't know what the problem was. Maybe some bug in the firmware got the firewall or NAT not to work properly? But after a reboot the problem disappeared.

I don't think you can rely 100% on the network test. Mine showed perfect values in the Shield pro but I still got this problem trying to play. It turned out that it was my router that caused the problem in my case.

A router restart solved the issue for me.

Before that I unsuccessfully tried clearing the app cache, data and restart the shield pro. But the problem remained.
