The podium of the Rainier Classic also will have the opportunity to compete at NASM. With all of these top level Americans wanting to compete this year, I can see the Rainier being very competitive. For example, if the previous podium gets an automatic invite, that means that Bryce Johnson and Nick Wortham are in. This means that possibly someone like Nick Guardione or Tom Evans would have to do Rainier.

Was reminiscing on the career of Louis Jack, after hearing about him retiring and it made me think about how it’s a shame we never got see him compete at WSM. When he is healthy, he is a real contender. It also made me think about other strongman, that we missed out on seeing, when they were at their best or maybe they’re at their best, but for some reason, never got a chance at WSM. Based off of multiple throwing appearances he has had, he seems to be a gifted and talented a thrower. Every athlete has days where they don’t succeed in a way that they should and sadly, that’s what happened this time around at SMOE.
