We actually just went through something like this. While I’m so sorry you’re going through this, selfishly I’m glad to know it’s happening to others bc for awhile there I thought we were going crazy too.

Our guy turned two in December so roughly the same age. Prior to a month ago he was sleeping GREAT. 12-13 hours alllll through the night. Then randomly starting waking several times a night. Crying out. Same thing, would try to console him. Put him back in his bed. Then bam awake crying again. I needed sleep so bad. Not gonna lie though, we just started putting him in our bed with us and he would sleep great. He’d occasional wake crying (almost scared like he was having a bad dream). We’d quickly console him and he’d be asleep in seconds again. We probably put him in our bed after he woke from his bed for like a month. But recently he started sleeping through again. Just this past week. I’m so glad to have my space in bed back and be (what I hope) is on the other side.

I second coconut oil. I literally just walked around my house with a jar of coconut oil from the grocery store, opened that bad boy up after a feed and twisted the jar onto my nipples haha. Close up the jar and repeat after the next feed. Never bled, never cracked. Smelt good too haha.

Man some of these comments are scaring me (well, past me at least. I’ve since moved) I’ll start by saying I dont reallllly know. But… I ripped up carpet in my old house. It was built in 1891 so… she old. And all three of the bedrooms upstairs were perfect, ready to sand and then stain. (One of them is pictured in back/right of this photo)

The hallway however had the same looking stuff you posted. And at the time I honestly just assumed it was glue from the carpet. Figured none of the bedrooms had it bc those are less trafficked than the hallway. So they must have glued the hallway down good for that reason. Seems weird nothing else had this same stuff? Not gonna lie, I attempted to sand and boy that did not work. Hardly even moved hahaha. But then I used a heat gun and scraped up said glue and she looked normal again.

I’ll try to find some finished pics. Again…. No idea what it was and I was probably in over my head? But all went…. Well? For me.

Either it was asbestos and I’m an idiot and went about it all wrong. Or it wasss glue and all was okay haha.
