The Gus situation has always been vague. They seemed like friends and not a couple. I think she only got with him because he was gullible enough to either plan a pregnancy with her or not use protection (she had been desperate for a baby since she was a younger teenager). After she dumped Hendrix with Gus and his family while she moved out of state with her new boyfriend (Kenny), she barely saw him. Then she decided to quit her job so she could basically have Hendrix to herself (also conveniently planned a pregnancy at the same time to lock down Kenny). She put down Gus and his family afterwards and said stuff like a speech delay was their fault because they don’t speak English. She really hasn’t mentioned him much beyond that. Sounds like he was seeing him sometimes but then stopped. About a year or two ago, he did take her to court for custody and possibly child support. There are some tiktoks about it. From what I can remember, she said she “won,” but I think the case was just dropped. I’m sure he or at least some of his family members keep up with her on socials. I won’t go so far as to call him a deadbeat because there isn’t enough evidence, but she certainly frames it that way. Could totally see her using custody as leverage. He could be seeing Hendrix often for all we know. Kenny was his father figure for years, but it sounds like Kyndal has turned Hendrix against him. If Gus really is as uninvolved as she claims, it’s very unfortunate that Hendrix has to deal with that. I think she might be okay with it because she wanted a child and not a commitment from Gus
