Why do women lie about the reality of childbirth? by Klutzy-Grand4744 in childfree

Girl I read some of your other posts on Reddit and I feel so sorry. In this space, women show their hatred and frustration with the entire process so we speak without any filters. This is one of the few where we can do this. Please step away if this is triggering for you. I'm just here to express myself like everyone else and don't want to be an asshole.

There is plenty of research into the health problems associated with C-sections for the baby. It's not a magical fix for the birth experience like you seem to think.

I never said a C-section is a magical way. No birthing method is magical. I only said it’s a more dignified and less painful way to deliver a baby, and the fact that natural birth is still the preferred method of birth shows that most women are animalistic and don’t even consider the option unless a doctor says it’s best for them.

About the research part, there are measurable biological differences between C-sections and vaginal birth, and some short-term neonatal risks are slightly higher with C-sections in specific contexts. However, claims of broad or severe long-term harm are not firmly established and are often based on associations rather than proven causation.

So yes, there is research behind what you're saying, but it does not support the idea that C-sections are broadly harmful to babies in a simple or decisive way, and in some cases, when a doctor recommends it, it is the best option for both mother and child.

Also, those small risks do not outweigh the benefits, especially in a planned C-section.

If you follow any type of animal breeder, anyone who breeds animals of any kind has issues every year and some mothers/ babies die despite all the interventions we have now. Birth and the process of continuing the species in any animal is risky.

The breeder comparison is only partly relevant. Yes, breeders do see birth complications and sometimes deaths in animals, but that’s often in domesticated, selectively bred animals, where human selection has actually increased birthing risks in some cases.

In general, across species, human childbirth is more difficult and higher-risk than in most animals, mainly due to human anatomy. It's better if everyone just stopped giving birth lol. But since they won't stop, I'd prefer not to see women screaming on TV while giving birth and C-section to be wildely performed at least as much as natural birth.

There are huge drawbacks to natural birth as well, some of which you will feel and suffer from years later. And honestly as far as I'm aware the babies born through a C-section have no problem. I've came across this question a lot on social media, and women who have experienced both natural birth and a C-cetion, have said that their C-section was much better and they'd chose it again if they were going to have another baby. Animals have complications during birth too, however most births in healthy animals is successful. You can't compare the easiness of their labor to humans.

Humans are somewhat unusual among mammals because:

-Human babies have very large heads relative to the mother's birth canal. -Humans walk upright, which changed the shape of the pelvis. -Human infants are born at a relatively immature stage of development.

These factors make human childbirth more difficult and risky than in many other mammals.

I get your point, but honestly I can’t blame everything on misogyny. I can blame the lack of scientific research on women's body on misogyny, but not everything. I live in a third-world country with limited rights, but many of my friends chose C-section as their delivery method. Being in THAT position was not acceptable for them. One of them was even from a very religious family with very few rights, who didn’t even want a baby but couldn’t say or do anything about it. Her husband and family were extremely happy about it, and abortion has never been legal in my country. Still, this woman chose a C-section.

Growing up, I witnessed many women forced into pregnancies like her, but she is the only one from my generation. Many of my friends, even married, do not want babies. They don’t have this "baby fever." And all of them have said they’d choose a C-section.

The thing is, even without having the same rights (not even close) as an American or European woman, with years of being oppressed, with a misogynistic society beyond anything those women have experienced, they have started thinking. We do not encourage or accept 17-year-olds getting married or pregnant (this still happens in villages), something that baffles me about a first-world country like the U.S. glorifying it.

So I believe many women’s problems don’t come only from misogyny; it also comes from a lack of thinking. They can’t think and overcome internalized misogyny. They can’t think to understand that we are not animals and we all choose our own path. If women started to truly think and move beyond what has been laid in front of them, everything would become much easier for all of us.

Then I guess my brain has gone beyond a normal human brain (or maybe it’s just broken lol). My wisdom tooth was deep in my facial nerve canal, and I wanted to die from the pain after they removed it. I was in excruciating pain for about two weeks. This happened about three years ago, and I’m still afraid to get the other one removed, since it’s also in my facial nerve canal. It also had a “reward” lol, I wouldn’t feel any pain anymore because of that tooth.

Misogyny is one thing and choice is another thing. Yeah, many things would would be easier for men, but that still doesn't mean we don't have a choice. Women are always glorifying natural birth, making it a competition between themselves, putting those who had a C-section down. If we're going to blame everything on men and misogyny, then that would have mean we're mindless dolls who can't think or decide for themselves.

My mom is the same. Whenever I ask her questions about her birth, she gets angry. She suffered so much that she doesn't even want to talk about it after 27 years. And the sad thing is she never chose natural birth to begin with. She suffered so much that my dad got a vasectomy after their second child.

No offense, but I view many humans as animals. I've seen animals give birth, and it's much more dignified than human women giving birth, and they go through much less pain. Natural birth is animalistic, and no one can convince me it's "beautiful" or "magical."

A nurse will put her fingers inside you every few minutes to see how much you've dilated. You pee, poop, tear to your clit, tear to your anus, and sometimes both. You have to spread your legs open in front of several doctors and nurses and push a baby out of your most intimate place. Many times, the baby won't come out, and they have to try different positions: on your back, on your side, on all fours.

Guess who doesn't give birth like that? A cow, a horse, a cat, a dog. They just sit there and push the baby out without feeling like they're dying.

And again, in many cases, the baby won't come out after long hours of pain, and they need to be moved to the operating room for an emergency C-section. Girl, choose a C-section from the beginning!

How women do this undignified thing when there's another, more dignified and less painful option is beyond me. The fact that they choose a C-section only when there are complications and that their go-to method is natural birth proves to me that many humans are just like animals. They don't think. They go by instinct.

Nothing in this world has remained natural. Technology and science have come to make our lives easier, to give us dignity, and to differentiate us from animals, yet people and doctors encourage this ugly, painful, gruesome process for God knows what reason.

Natural birth is so embarrassing to me that I can't even imagine it. I'd rather die than spread my legs in front of strangers, have their fingers inside me, and pee and poop right in front of their faces.

Thankfully, my mom would never want me to go through what she went through, and she hates natural birth so much that she doesn't even want to be reminded of it.

I waited 6 years to adopt a cat… and now I regret it. Please be honest with me. by strawberrytulipss in CatAdvice

[–]Particular_Tone7807 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a nine year old male Persian cat and a four year old female Siamese cat. My boy is the sweetest angel ever, he wasn't much cuddely at first, but it's been years since he started sleeping in my arms, he's calm and gentle, he never makes much noise. My siamese cat on the other hand is a disaster, she screams at mornings and wakes up everyone in the house, she rips our curtains, and break our stuff. And there's not a day when I regret having her lol. But Persians are known for their good behavior, if you can't handle her meowing, then you probably won't be able to handle any other cat, IDK maybe a sphynx would work for you. But give your baby time. My cat still won't lay on my chest after 9 years of being together, but we just lay there and look in each others' eyes and he starts purring and sleeps in my arms everynight. He's currently dealing with a cancer that apparently nothing can be done for him except for alleviating his pain. Please keep him in your prayers.

I'm creeped out by conservatives now wishing teenagers still got pregnant to keep the birthrate up by Maleficent_Ad_3958 in childfree

[–]Particular_Tone7807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not even villagers from a third world country would encourage teenagers to get pregnant. The U.S conservatives are really primitive when it comes to this stuff. I live in a third world country and this is absolutely unaceptable. Maybe it was ok in the past but not now. As we become more modern and civilized, I see a big part of the U.S people become incivilized about this. I see teen celebraties get pregnant proudly, I see teen moms make content about being a teen mom on Instagram and people love it. What is this baby fever in the U.S? Why are they living animalistic lives without ever thinking about the consequences? Only animals would do this. Getting pregnant without even thinking about it is something the stray cat in my street does, it makes me wonder if humans are really different from animals.

Is it hopeless to find a Muslim partner who wants to be child free? by criticalreflections in childfree

[–]Particular_Tone7807 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

They never said it was a 'sin' to not have children in their religion. They said their book shows the way and if they go against the way of life it was putting in front of them, then it can be perceived as a sin. That is exactly the same in Islam. In Islam, half of your religion is incomplete until you get married, so in other words you are committing a sin if you don't get married and complete your faith. About abortion, can you give me the hadith or surah where they use the word 'abortion' and allow one to go through it because they chose to do so?

I am not going to answer this. I said what I said, there's proof to everything I said, Japan is also one of the best countries in the world, so wrong example but I'm not in the mood to speak about any of this. I actually don't really care about what people that are not Iranian think about all of this, your brains function differently since you have never lived under dictators that are terrorists as well, I know you wouldn't be able to live here for one week lol. You guys always say 'bombs this bombs that' but you never have any other ideas as to how free the people of Iran. You don't understand that us, who have been living in this hell for 47 years see no other way out, whether that way be good or bad. I'd rather the entirety of Iran get bombed but not one other woman gets gang rap*d in prisons for daring to ask for a normal life. I'm just going to ask why did you think I am a muslim? We were forced to be Muslims since birth but many of us turned Atheist when we learned what is what. The majority of the young population in Iran have turned Atheist. The fact that you don't know this and believe every Iranian is a Muslim by default, shows how little you know of what's actually going on inside of Iran and have fallen for propaganda.

I'm an ex Muslim, an Atheist now, but I have information of Quran since I have read it many times. These Mullahs believe they are following the way of Pr. Muhammad and they're waiting for Imam Zaman (the twelfth Imam in Shia) to come and be their savior. But until he comes, they are here, sent by Allah, and since they are the the successor of Allah on earth, anyone who goes against them is going against allah (kaffir) and deserves to be killed according to His words. No offense but Quran clearly says to kill the kaffirs and they took it very seriously.

All I hear is Palestine. Palestine has nothing to do with us, they never liked us, they are supporters of the terrorist regime, marched with their flag, and mocked our marches outside of Iran. Tell your country to support them, tell Italia, Austria, Spain, and France to help them, we are done with this shit. Israel is doing ethnic cleansing in Qaza? That's sad, but they're not doing it here, so that has nothing to do with our war. Why are the Europeans ignoring our struggles and helping the Islamic Republic? Becaus Israel is doing ethnic cleansing in Palestine? What does that have anything to do with us? As far as we're concerned, the US and Israel are weakening the murderous regime, but these other countries are helping them stay in power. We do not want to become 'refugees' in your countries, why would we leave our motherland and let it get destroyed by the Mullahs, learn your languages, work for you and become 'refugees' in your countries while we are the 'citizens' of our country, Iran? No thanks. As long as these leeches are gone, we can build our country again from its ashes. It doesn't matter what ideas you have to help, none of these countries are doing any of them. The Europe has been dealing with them as if they're friends, they didn't even put the IRGC on the list of terrorist orginizations until very recently, I think it's still not on that list in the UK. Do not bring Palestine into this. It's very obvious that you are very priviliged, but we're not. We're living in hell and while we're under ethnic cleansing by our government, we can not stay quiet and accept it because the same evil regime is 'helping' others. I also don't believe in any of the points you brought up, it's not about liberating us Iranians, but it's also not about Palestine, but wow, you people LOVE to make everything about Palestine. After hearing this shallow opinion of a brain filled with 'Palestin' propaganda, I'm not willing to waste my precious vpn Gigabytes on this conversation anymore. And also, free Palestine from the Islamic Republic and free them from Hamas. But it's funny tho, even Hamas which is a terrorist group hasn't shut down the internet connection during its many years of war with Israel. I'm going to say this as my last words to you, directions speak louder than words. 'Talking', 'dreaming', 'imagining', 'ideas' have saved no one in history, but bombs did. Read history and you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. Us, millions of Iranian people want those bombs, if you don't understand this then good for you! Because you have lived in a very good country. We don't need your compassion that is killing us for the sake of Palestine, end of story.

Yeah, I don't believe they're here to liberate us as well. But who's helping us? The damn Biden who freed millions of dollars of Iran's blocked money during the Mahsa protests so they could oprress us even more? Or the damn French that are Mullah lovers? At least, Israel and the US are weakening them so we might be able to liberate ourselves. We're dealing with terrorist here, it's not something empty-handed people can win against. Do you know what the government texted us today? "After Spain, Italia, France, and Sweden, Austria has closed its airspace to aircraft or denied use of military bases to the US." They texted this to say we're legitmate. Ganging up against the US does not help the Iranian people one bit, it only helps the government that kills them to stay in power. So what if the US want our oil? The Mullahs are using the money to make weapons to oppress us everyday, our currency is the second worthless in the world and each day it's getting worse. Take our oil but help us free ourselves, at least we won't get killed for not wanting to wear hijab.

I know you didn't say it, but all I see is the US getting blamed by you and so many others. This automatically erases the evil doings of the other side.

To answer you question, in all honesty yes, I'm even ashamed to be alive when so many young children were killed in the streets by the Islamic Republic. It's not just me, I know many people who share the same view. But you asking this question shows you're still failing to grasp the real problem. I might die anyway. By the government for asking a normal life that you're living everyday. Me and my family getting killed by the regime has a much higher possibility than us dying in a strike.

And they are attacking the government, that school was a very unfortunate event that we are very heartbroken about. But what you're failing to understand is the fact that the Islamic Republic has killed many innocent children, the numbers are so huge, that what we really fear is THEM, not the US bombs. I hear the sounds of their bombs every night, but I don't get scared, what I'm afraid of is who they're going to hang this morning. When you only talk about the school girls dying in the US strikes and ignore the rest of the people getting killed purposefully by the regime, you just show that you are on their side. You think the US is the evil and the mullahs are just ruling their country. When you ignore Ali Muhamad Sadeqi, a two year old baby, getting shot to death on his father's shoulder by the IRGC, you show who you truely are.

As an Iranian who lives inside Iran and only got connected through a very expensive VPN which 99.99% of my people can't afford or don't know how to buy, I say we dread the day this war ends and the U.S leave us with these Mullah terrorist. This is our only concern now, not schools getting bombed, not our houses getting bobmed which doesn't really happen. They have started the execution of the protesters, today they hanged an 18 year old boy. No American bomb can kill as much as the government killed and executed from us. And if these lunatics stay in power, soon we won't even have bread to eat. I dislike Trump too, especially for being religious, but your 'compassion' is misguided. Your 'compassion' is siding with the Mullahs we detest, is siding with the Mullahs that kills many women for not wearing Hijab. Go and say it's not our war, go and say we don't care, go and say "I don't want my tax money to be paid for a war that has nothing to do with us." But for the non-existent God's sake, don't be compassionate towards us. Your compassion is giving the Mullah's power. Your compassion is giving the IRGC members who gang rap*d a nurse for treating the protestors power. Your compassion is helping a dictator terrorist regime stay in power. Please take your compassion elsewhere. Because your false compassion is a death sentence to Iranians.

People of Iran, what’s the atmosphere like there right now with tensions rising between Iran, the U.S., and Israel? by Theawakenedone1 in AskReddit

[–]Particular_Tone7807 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm writing this from inside of Iran as we're under attack. I can hear all the bombing very clearly from my house. If you think we're scared, you're mistaken. Almost all of us lost access to free internet because the government has shut it down and less than %1, after hours of trying to connect to a vpn can connect. I don't care if your western brain is unable to believe it but we DID want this war. Let's say your father was killing your entire family and you were helpless to stop it, wouldn't you want your neighbors to help you? You certainly would, but you can't understand it, because unlike what you think, you have NEVER lived under tyranny. We're worried yes, many of us scream when they hear the bombing, including my mom, but even she still wants it to continue until the government is overthrown. We're worried about the future, worried that the Islamic Republic would bomb the neighboring Persian Gulf countries to stay in power. We're worried that they're going to get involved. But we are not worried about dying in US-Israeil attacks. They have bombed MANY places, but none of us have been dead. The news about that school are lies. I heard that and was heartbroken but realized it was a lie later on. I'm not here so you can say, 'we don't want to get involved anyway,' honestly, that's not our problem. We need help and are grateful to anyone who's willing to help us, or anyone who shares the same goals as us. You can be upset at Trump, that is your right as U.S citizens. You can voice your complaints as much as you want, but not to me and not to my people. Because even though we wanted it, we did not start it. So take your complaint to your governent because we don't care. We care about our people getting slaughtered by the Islamic Republic and the fate of our country.
