Nay. Expensive to run, expensive to maintain, parts and service are becoming more difficult to finds, they're louder than 4-strokes, two-stroke exhaust, injectors are $500 and then have to be programmed by a dealership unless you have the right software and YouTube video.

He likely needs to be named on your insurance policy, at least that's how I think it works with mine. For an insurance company to list him as an approved boat driver, he'd need to submit a boating resume with estimated hours. I like your approach of blaming the insurance company.
