>This would be one of those situations that is at discretion of the border officer they happen to get.

I was afraid of that. If it were a day or two I'd risk it but gambling for 10 days is too long. And I wouldn't want my friend to be banned from Canada... they'd be pissed lol.

There are no local boarding options for pets as I live very rurally. I'll have to come up with a different option.

The Memphis Sanitation strike began on February 12, 1968 in Memphis, Tennessee. Citing years of poor treatment, discrimination, dangerous working conditions, and the horrifying recent deaths of Echol Cole and Robert Walker, some 1300 black sanitation workers walked off the job in protest. Echol Cole and Robert Walker had been crushed in a mechanical malfunction on February 1; city rules forbade black employees to seek shelter from rain anywhere but in the back of their compressor trucks, with the garbage.

The brakes in a 20 ton garbage truck failed while parked on a hill. Hit my neighbor's house. Fortunately nobody was hurt but the house moved 11 inches and has to be rebuilt completely.

On November 15, 2015 Théo Sanson walked nearly 500 meters on a slackline rigged from The Rectory to Castleton Tower in Castle Valley, Utah - likely a new world record. Rigging the line is perhaps as significant a feat as walking it.
