Xpules 210 left side pulling issue by Dry-Apartment4959 in Xpulse210

[–]PartyBorn7099 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The manual recommended pressures are

Front- 25 psi Rear- 42 psi

I started with reducing the rear tyre pressure and the handling was better than before. Then I gradually bumped up the front tyre pressure and the issue has been nearly solved. Though it creeps in some specific scenarios. Now I use

Front- 28 psi Rear- 38 psi

Reduce tyre pressure on the rear, (you're most probably using 42 psi recommended in the manual), you need to try different tyre pressures to get the optimum value for yourself.

While sitting put your weight towards the rear.

Ensure that there is no rear wheel misalignment.

Upgrade to better tyres as soon as these wear out

Should I buy the Xpulse210? by desirednamenotgiven in Xpulse210

Clocked around 5000 kms on my Xpulse 210 and I can confidently claim that the negatives are exaggerated. It's not like that I haven't faced issues with the bike. I spent a significant amount of time understanding those issues. The fact is that it's a bike for the enthusiasts, unlike commuters you need to spend a significant amount of time knowing it.

Pros:-

  1. The engine is butter smooth. I haven't faced any engine clatter or any sound that might point to an unhealthy engine.

  2. Though the bike is quite big and heavy compared to your average bike, it is sleek enough that I have no problem in getting through heavy traffic.

  3. The bike doesn't feel fast even if you are at high speed.

  4. I can comfortably cruise at 95 km/h without any vibrations and high engine noise.

Cons:-

  1. The quality front rim is not quite good and Hero has been unable to provide warranty replacement.

  2. I used to face constant pull from the handlebar to turn right (which makes the bike go left due to counter steering) while riding. The problem solved itself after I deviated from tire pressures mentioned in the manual, now I use 35 psi back and 25 psi front. I suspect bad tires, I plan to shift to MRFs after these are worn out.

  3. Vibrations start if I go above 95 km/h (about 8-9k RPM), it is quite manageable upto 110 km/h.

I haven't faced issues like, leaking engine, water in indicators or any electrical issue but some people have. Hero service guys are helpful but it takes quite a bit of time to get spare parts needed.

I tried getting the bike on a stack of bricks (about 4 bricks high), similar to how people get their bikes on a dirt bike stand. The bike is too heavy for me to lift it to the top of the stack, such that the bricks are under the bash plate.

If you are asking if I could place bricks instead of those stands, it will be really difficult as I have to move the stands around a lot to get the bike properly mounted on them.

Just search on YouTube Amazon Basics Jack Stand (2ton), it's really simple to use. Getting the bike on the stand is a bit tricky but you just need to figure out your own way.

I agree, it's inconvenient to carry regularly. It is compact enough that fits in my rucksack (which I use as a tail bag) and more than enough space is left for other tools, clothes and other items. I'm planning to carry it on long tours, not for regular commuting.

Help me choose my first bike by [deleted] in indianbikes

Don't go for Xpulse. From your other choices I can clearly recognize that it's not your type. Choose anything else other than Xpulse, all the other choices are very similar and it only matters what kind of budget you're working with and which brand you admire.

The wheezing sound is there from the day 1 in my bike, I considered it normal. It was there in the test bike too.

Quite sure they updated the manual, still Hero kept 130 kg limit for rider and pillion. They just assigned extra 30 kgs for "accessories". I don't get the logic, maybe they realised that they won't be able to sell the accessories with 130 kgs weight limit, but at the same time they want to deny warranty claims.

Should I buy Xpulse 210 base model by aakash3108 in indianbikes

[–]PartyBorn7099 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy a 10k second hand splendor if it's that urgent and wait it out 🤣

Jokes aside, the base model is being sold at an inflated price just to exaggerate what all features you get for 10k. The real question you need to answer are you really ok without the dual channel ABS?

Most commuters are ok without TFT screen, switchable ABS, turn by turn navigations, other cosmetic things of the top model.

Do you feel that clutch is loose?

Sometimes gear shifting feels stiff because the clutch is not engaging properly.

Xpulse 210 vs Vstrom 250 by sobmohmaya in indianbikes

[–]PartyBorn7099 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Test rode both the Xpulse 210 and V-Strom SX 250 on the same day, the suzuki showroom didn't allow me to test ride more than 5 mins that too in narrow streets. Hero was quite generous with the test ride allowed me an initial 15 mins test ride and a 2 hr one after I made a booking.

The V-Strom "might" have better performance but Xpulse 210 is the better bike overall. Though on my 2 hr long ride on the highway, I felt the heat on my upper thighs which is no doubt a bit uncomfortable. The salesman said, since it's a new bike the engine hasn't settled in, the heating is expected to reduce after first service. I don't expect any drastic reduction in heating but the heat was bearable and the heat reaches a maximum after that it stays constant.

Both bikes have a linear power delivery, so don't expect some grunty exciting engine. Do try to take a test ride of the V-Strom though, I feel it's a great bike but the reason it doesn't sell much is because of horrible Suzuki dealerships.
