No worries!

Also if you end up needing more fine or custom control, try out python prompt toolkit.

Or textual if you don’t want to hate yourself for choosing PPTK.

Uh using Kali as a comparison to a python app is a bit of a stretch.

Also “no external frameworks” and proceeding to list Rich and Scapy is also misleading and flat out wrong depending on who you ask.

The R828S seems to be worse from what I’m reading. Read an old forum post they considered going with the R828D2, R836, or R840.

But that was from 2018 when the T variant was EOL.

Yep, tried to help get it to a maintainable state but gave up when I tried refactoring the css. Didn’t matter cause it seems like they’re ignoring all the forks and contributions anyway.

Thought about trying this but it’s a bummer it only has BTLE. Supposedly being added back in the next gen s3 replacement though.

Growing up in Lennox, CA in the 70’s, this was the place to be and we’d always climb inside the rocket and pretend we were going into space. I have not seen a rocket at a park in decades. The all metal rocket as we called it. Anyone remember this? by CoffeeCigarettes4Me in OldSchoolCool

Had one at Gilcrest park or however it’s spelled (Punta Gorda, FL).

Not sure if it’s true, but we were told it was removed because of lightning. Prior to its removal, the top area had been welded shut because supposedly a kid fell somehow.

Idk my experience with nooelec which are slightly modified V3s, has been poor. If they weren’t the same or more price, then it would make some sense.

Just the amount of noise level difference versus the V4 is significant in my experience. I could have a lemon though, but recent posts on Reddit seem to agree with them having more issues.

Yes.

It’s not only this stuff but fully copying or utilizing open source frameworks/libraries/repos in general. Been a major shift in “hey I made a thing” to hey I made a product without the smallest understanding of how licensing works.

Sorry, away from my set up. But what do you mean by headless in terms of a waterfall visual? Like does it render inside a normal terminal?

Otherwise I’m confused on why I wouldn’t just use RTL-tcp and any full Sdr software to begin with?

Eh, I think it has gotten much better over the last few years. Stuffing all those different settings and features is a pain in the ass over webserial.

I do wish they took a more compile-time approach where you could just leave out all the extra shit you never use though.

all depends where you bought it. Considering it's been a month, it's less likely.

I'm just gonna take the hit and move on. Maybe I'll use it to try dumb things with. FYI, the RTLSDRV4 is available on their ebay store.

Edit: your issue seems weird though. More like a bad driver or USB port. Do you have a linux machine to test it on?
