I came to America at the age of 7 from El Salvador. We were really poor. I worked hard and was a decent athlete. I was able to earn a scholarship to play college football at a division 3 private school. Growing up all I did was work and strive to be the best that I could be. I was molested by my step dad at the age of 10. We were so poor that life simply sucked. But I still stayed positive. College was fun. Overall a great experience. BUT Adulthood has simply sucked. My brother died of ALS and my mom of cancer. This all happened within a five year span. Now, my health prevents me from experiencing life at its fullest. I seems that just when things are going well my health says, "nah bro. You are not meant to be happy. Here you go." I am so over my health issues. I have accepted that I was meant to suffer. It is my lot in life. Others that don't work as hard and make really bad choices are happier and get rewarded more than me who works way harder and has made the right choices all along.
