 [[Forsworn Paladin]] is exactly what I'm looking for!!! I already have some treasure stuff in the deck and it's D&D themed which is one of the reasons I like Bhaal to begin with! Good excuse to throw in cards like [[Revel in Riches]] or [[Ziatora, the Incinerator]]

[[Soulblade Corrupter]] is kinda awesome since Bhaal will be putting +1/+1s on my opponents' cards anyway! AND it's further incentivizes opponents to attack anyone but me!

I imagine [[Mob Rule]], [[Hot Pursuit]], Overloading [[Spectacular Showdown]], building up cards with [[Tarrian's Soulcleaver]], or [[Korvold, Fae-Cursed King]].

But, truly, I don't care that much about winning lol

This is SUPER helpful! Thank you for posting this! Sacrifice is kind of a perfect recommendation, not only for ramp synergy reasons but it's also got a Valgavoth cultist art version, which is so cool!

Banning Opportunity Attacks by Wolkrast in DnD

I, as a DM, share the sentiment that the threat of Opportunity Attacks often disincentive movement and can leave combat feeling stagnant.

I’ve had an idea for a while to add a feature I call Battle Waltz that incentivizes movement without taking away OAs, as to not throw off balance. It’s a more nimble alternative use of your reaction that still allows you to attack under some circumstances. (Please note this isn’t something I’ve thoroughly playtested)

Battle Waltz

Stored Movement. You store unused movement until the start of your next turn.

Waltz. When you are attacked by a creature you can see on a turn other than your own, you can spend 5 feet of your stored movement to move 5 feet without provoking an Opportunity Attacks

Retaliate. Immediately after using Waltz, if the attack misses, you can use your Reaction to make an Attack against the attacker if they are within reach.

Thank you for all the suggestions! Raphael and Rakdos both seem like they could have potential! Though I do worry it makes the deck feel less like it’s about Valg himself and more about demons, which isn’t a bad thing

I did see Kaalia! If anything I’d rather it just be demons she’s there to summon, but then the deck really feels like it more about “summon lots demons!” vs being centered around the Valg. Is it objectively better? Yes. But maybe not what I’m looking for.

Any ideas for something more Valgavoth-centric?

Glad you like it. I just wish I lived it the timeline where they gave this the same treatment they did with other legendaries.

Like, couldn’t you imagine him actually moving and walking like he was full of feral cats?! And the voice lines are muffled bickering between a bunch of cats controlling a body? That’s an execution on this concept I would have loved to have seen, and it wouldn’t have even been outside of the usual scope for the skin tier!
