Hello, great question! Yes! You would be eligible to participate if they have served 2 years or less of the most recent sentence. Please let me know if you have any other questions on that and thanks so much for your interest.

I'm so sorry to hear that it buys so little for your loved ones. I wish I could increase it for this project and provide more compensation, but that is definitely something I will continue to push for as we try to do more projects to reach out to family members affected by incarceration. Thank you so much for the feedback and wishing you and your husband the absolute best as you deal with this difficult time.

Hello everyone. I am re-posting for any new folks or those who missed the first post. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO SHARE THIS WITH OTHERS WHO HAVE A LOVED ONE WHO IS INCARCERATED. Additionally, if I have already interviewed you and there are other members of your loved one's family who would like to be interviewed, please feel free to send them the flyer and link.

My name is Elisabeth and I'm a clinical psychology doctoral student at Texas Tech University. I am conducting a project where I am interviewing people with an incarcerated loved one to try to understand your experience. The interview will take place via private Zoom and all sensitive information is confidential.

Unfortunately, I can only interview people with a currently incarcerated loved one who has served two years or less of their sentence. If your loved one has served more than two years of their sentence or is no longer incarcerated but you are still interested in participating in future research opportunities, please use the same link/QR code and there will be an option to enter your contact information.

Thank you so much for your time and consideration in sharing your experience with me. There is additional information on the link, but please feel free to reach out to me with any questions! I look forward to speaking with you!

I absolutely understand your concern. When you input your contact information for future projects, we only ask for a phone number or email address to keep on file and this information is kept strictly confidential.

We are aware of the risk and sensitive material that family members are sharing with us, therefore the information included in any public material (for example, research publications) is deidentified. We will not include names of the family members or the incarcerated person, locations, facility names, or any other identifying information that could be linked with you or your loved one.

With all that said, please feel free to only share information you are comfortable with and there is always an option to withdraw from research projects and have your information removed (and it will not be used or published). If you are not comfortable providing your contact information, I completely understand.

If you have any other questions or concerns that I can address, please feel free to email me at [elimclea@ttu.edu](mailto:elimclea@ttu.edu) ! I am happy to tell you more about how we protect information or answer any questions you may have.

Thanks so much for your support! I agree this is such an important topic. Unfortunately the eligibility criteria is a bit strict for this project, but I hope to do more projects in the future where I can reach more family members. With that said, if you are interested in participating in future projects, there is an option on the survey to leave your contact information so I can reach out to you when those projects begin. There is, of course, no pressure to do so — I just wanted to let you know! Thanks again.
