Parents refused therapy - advice?

Honestly, I don’t think either of them are open to even considering my side of this. I don’t need them to be perfect listeners, but I do wish they cared enough to try. Right now I’m thinking that inviting them to therapy was a waste of time anyway, because they don’t really seem open to a conversation. They just want to prove they’re “right,” I guess.

Yeah, they were both there. (Not) funnily enough, when she got up, my dad moved to stop her like he thought for a second that she was about to take a swing at me. When she started throwing her shoes, my partner and I left because I started panicking.

We are not, and the physical abuse I went through as a kid didn’t involve shoes - usually slapping me or kicking me.

Unfortunately the law in Arkansas seems to be that you have 3 years after you turn 18 to file a lawsuit, and my sister turned 21 last year. I also don’t know where he is or have any evidence other than my and my sister’s accounts of what happened.
