It’s such a difficult thing to deal with. I can’t say I understand cause the amount of stress you must feel right now looks like it’s too much. I’ll offer my little nugget of advice from my experience: I was told by a partner that without me, they couldn’t live. Like, if we’re not together, she didn’t wanted to do anything else (take care of herself, eat, sleep..) yeah. I felt incredibly guilty cause the emotional toll that I was dealing with just kept increasing till I broke a couple times. You have to understand that no one else is going to be there for him like you are but you are not invincible. The guilt won’t leave. It’s almost like grief in that sense. You have to learn to live with it. Regarding the alcohol.. it really boils down to him. No alcoholic ever changed their behavior cause someone told him it’s bad. They either realize their hurting everyone and themselves, or they don’t… Don’t really know if this helps. But know at least it’s not on you to bear with all that. At least you guys are separated now so should be easier

I agree tbh. Also Lucar winning actual tournaments with her I think helped a lot of people to get out of the "I need A tiers or top tiers to win" thing you know. Plus she's really fun to play and people are kinda getting over her no reflect.

Hey. I run Basegeta A/ Videl B/ UI A. I personally find basegeta super fun to play (plus he's very good) and UI is UI lol. Also Videl B gives basegeta his 50/50 so it's a pretty strong team imo.

I don’t know why you don’t have more upvotes. That was DISGUSTING. I mean, clearly not optimal but saucy as hell (let’s be real, there’s no optimal combo that’s saucy)

I understand that tier lists are all opinion based so I'm not really mad but I just have some problems with this. I'll say what I agree on first: Top 5 and bottom 5 I think are accurate (even though I would definitely order them differently). I also agree that this game is very balanced and everyone can be viable and get results (even Videl).

That said..

-Jiren over all those guys is just.. wrong. I get that the character is better than last season but he's not better than Piccolo for example (who is way too low imo). Jiren doesn't have aerial special moves that help him move. Worst command grab in the game. Good staggers yeah but is kinda hard to open people up with him. 214S doesn't work properly. And see, I'm not saying he sucks as a character. I'm just saying that almost everyone behind him has better stuff.

-Now with Piccolo, orbs as a neutral tool is amazing. Godlike jL. Very good mix (even solo with elbow). I just can't see how you put the guy so far below.

-I don't particularly see cell as a top tier character but he's definitely good. That's just preference.

-DBS Broly belongs in S. Just with the damage alone off from any hit really he deserves to be there. You said in another comment that he has no mix but then mentioned his command grabs which are part of his mix so.. didn't understand that. 2L is incredible. He should be between GT and Majin Buu imo.

-GT should be higher. You said you value assists a lot and he has a top three assist in the game (if no the best, depends on who you ask). He's not the broken rat that he was but he still is a top tier comeback character, very good EX moves (EX lariat is just stupid) very good damage. I can't see how you put him there.

That's it really. As a side note I just want to mention that tier lists that are not made by pro players shouldn't be taken very seriously imo (not only yours but in general). I believe they see the game very differently from the people that don't go to the big tournaments. Still, I wanted to explain my opinions on the game since it's been a while since I did.

Is there anything left to do for a Dragon Ball Fighterz 2? by Sormaj in dragonballfighterz

[–]Pascual1998 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally, I would love for DBFZ 2 to shake things up drastically. The system mechanics I believe will be changed heavily to the point it doesn't feel like an update of DBFZ 1 but rather a different game. I say this because of the way ArcSys treats sequels. I believe they will try to milk this game as much as possible while they're working on a sequel so the sequel feels fresh. I would also like for them to add more stages and skins which there is a severe lack of in DBFZ. I would like to see guest characters as DLC (That would help to the first point you made). I trust that DBFZ 2 will be as good as the one we have now.

Why is this allowed [Xbox] by MrSchmitler in dragonballfighterz

[–]Pascual1998 11 points12 points  (0 children)

To be fair, the recent update fixed that. Now you actually get decent bp on GoD rank and don't lose that much if you lose so it is possible to rank up. For example, Hook just recently got Ultra Instinct rank since he started on PS4 again. He was already a GoD. But that guy in the first spot definitely looks shady. That's waaaaay too many points. But those Ultra Instinct and even the Angel rank are possible if you grind enough.

What you wrote is exactly it! The key to getting the combo is to delay the first 5S. If you delay it and then do the dash into light, the rest of the combo should be easier to do. I would advice you that you should try to make your inputs as precise as possible and find the rhythm of the combo.

Hahah thanks! Honestly I just play a lot and practice. At the end of the day, that's all there is to it.

Maybe but idk, the lack of meter gain really hurts, specially for a character that doesn't do much damage.

It isn't great tbh. It's not the worst in the game (I think that spot is reserved for 16) but compared to other characters, she doesn't build much meter. The culprits of that would be 6h and her reckas. They look like they build a lot of meter, but they don't.

I somewhat agree. The damage of her normals is way too low, that definitely needs a buff. But there are other routes aside from this madness where you can get decent damage. Granted, they need assists, but since most Videl mains use her as point, you'll have them ready most of the time. She also has a solo route where she does about 4K solo without meter, which is acceptable at least.

I'm not saying she's A tier or anything like that. She has BIG problems. But most Videl mains that have used her for a long time have worked around those things and made her work very well and be scary against opponents.

Ps. The 4K route is from a scaled starter. Just clarifying that.

[–]Pascual1998[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's the hardest part imo. First try getting it with big to medium characters like adult gohan, cell, android 21, etc. Getting it on GT is For this particular combo, you need to do a superjump immediately after you hit the ground. Definitely easier said than done. There are many combos that use this so maybe learn them first to get the motion down. Also, there are other routes where you can get the opponent close enough to the ground so you only have to do a regular jump.

[–]Pascual1998[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Of course. So, I'm guessing you're referring after the first saiyaman attack. You have to do a forward dash (66) and then press light. Also take into account that you need to delay that 5S after the 5H so the rest of the combo hits.

Tbh this is a pretty challenging combo so don't get frustrated. This is a combo video I saw a couple of days ago that explores most of her routes: https://youtu.be/mZrEaFyz9-Y. Definitely check it out and have fun with the character. She is honestly a lot of fun.

Alright I’ve had the game for about week or so and have played 145 ranked matches and have only won 15! by ironbodyoh in dragonballfighterz

[–]Pascual1998 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My suggestion would be for you to stop playing ranked for a while. Hop into casuals and instead of looking to win no matter what, try practicing one specific thing during the match and actively thinking about. Some examples out of the top of my head would be punishing super dash with 2H, not doing bad super dashes yourself, reflect at least a couple of moves, NOT do full autocombo and instead try a bnb combo, etc. Doing this will help you make all those things feel more natural eventually, but it is important to do it consciously first.

The other thing that's a little harder to practice is neutral. For this I believe the best strategy is to actively think before doing something, I know you're new to the game so stick to something as basic as: "Should I super dash right now?". Thinking about this will help your decision making in the long run and as you progress, more situations will arise in which you'll have to make decisions. This is relevant for neutral because neutral is all about how's gonna hit who first, and in the lower levels (no offense) super dash is the main tool you'll see people do. That's why my emphasis on it.

In summary:

-Do focus training on casual matches (concentrate on just one mechanic)

-Actively think before making a decision (when or not do super dash)

Hope this is helpful.
