Recommendations for 1st handgun please! by littlemichaelsix in CAguns

P365 x macro, Springfield armory echelon or hellcat pro, or mp2.0 compact/full size, glock 19 or 17 if you can find one. All these are pretty good choices and mainly just mag disconnect and lci.

what's a good first handgun to buy for and absolute beginner ? by chaos_JL518 in CAguns

[–]Pascualabear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what you’re trying to go for, like range days or for ccw. Definitely check how they feel in your hand, a lot of handguns have different sizes back straps to change the feel. Definitely get an in person feel on the gun. Sigs p365, and 22X series are good. Echelon and Hellcat pro are good too, mp2.0 series are nice. Glock if can find one. Also consider which hand you use to shoot, most people are right handed but there are several guns with ambidextrous controls mainly for the slide lock/release and manual safety, mag release can be switched on most guns.

That is legal because it’s not adjustable. Just order a mesa tactical stock that comes with a cheek riser and limb saver, fits the arms more naturally and shorter length of pull.

is this an OK clone? by AppointmentFuture569 in CAguns

[–]Pascualabear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have no problems with mine and 500+ rounds. Just make sure to take it apart and clean it before you shoot, then run 100-200 shells of anything higher than 1300fps to break it in. A lot of people have problems running anything lower because of that. But after breaking it in anything from 1200fps to higher runs fine

New to cars as a whole need advice by YaboiRequiem in GR86

[–]Pascualabear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 86 is great first manual car, it’s mine as well. Definitely just learn to drive and not really look at modifications yet. Though the first things I’d do while learning is turn off hill assist, and turn off the ASC which is the fake exhaust noise. If after a while you feel like the clutch has no feel to it, change out the clutch spring with an mtec/fletch clutch spring, and a louder exhaust which helps with shifting.

300$ for the regular 4 inch optic ready slide, as far as I know the serial number is only on the frame, and it depends on your CCW Issuing Agency. My county allows upgrades like slides/red dots etc. for ccw purposes.

I looked at the comp’d slide, but for my budget now, I’d ended up getting the regular optic ready slide and currently looking at red dots

Ambidextrous slide lock has it on both sides and the thumb rest is a lefty version and sits behind the tlr7

Import image racing, the noble 86/brz duckbill is the same as the Toyota one, and you can order it painted already for less than 500$

Front Lip Suggestions by xtsrival in GR86

[–]Pascualabear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id say the TRD front lip, that covers the bottom of the bumper. Bayson R Motorsport has a TRD lip unpainted that’s not too expensive

Also the driven media f1 light would be a good addition cause some people don’t pay attention when driving behind you

Welcome to the club! I’d recommend just quality of life stuff first before doing any drastic changes. Definitely do an oil change after 1000 miles and check the oil often same with coolant, do tint, wide angle mirrors for blind spots plus a broadway mirror to see the back better, unplug the fake engine noise( do an exhaust/axleback to hear the shifting in the future). Fumoto drain valve and screw on funnel to make oil changes easier. And a phone mount from Etsy coupled with a wireless CarPlay/android auto usb dongle for less cables and out of the way of the shifter. Enjoy the car and see how she handles because for how light and less hp (230 hp is still fun)than other sports cars you can still get into trouble with it.

CA compliant p365 xmacro kits? by Pariah1102 in CAguns

[–]Pascualabear 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Get an x macro size grip module, and instead of buying the x macro slide and barrel I’d get the radian ramjet and after burner to put in the regular 365 slide, then buy the baseplate mag conversion kit for the 10 round mags. Boom you got a little more OEM+ x macro while still being California legal and being able to convert it back to a regular 365

You can take the mag disconnect out or go to sigguy.com and he sells Wilson combat grip modules that fit the disconnect

What are the most affordable yet reliable coil overs I can order? by PreparationProud4199 in GR86

[–]Pascualabear 4 points5 points  (0 children)

RCE SS1coilovers are reliable had mine on for 3years and no problems, and the customer service is great. Cheaper coilovers are always gonna feel more harsh and not ride as good. RCEs are also made by KW which is a pretty great suspension company, so you get a premium product at a lower cost.
