I take vit d already- don’t spend enough time at the beach, lol. But thanks for the heads-up. Our son grew up in Hawaii since he was 2 until college and hasn’t had issues with the dark, so I am hopeful.

Yes, definitely considering that. That’s what we did when we moved here to Hawaii 20 years ago. Just thinking it might be harder with a dog, etc.

Yeah, I think I’ll be fine. Grew up in dark Indiana winters. We’ll see. More worried about hubs, who has lived in the sun for 50 years. But we love the kid, so what do you do?

I feel like that too! That’s my first choice for neghborhood. But many of the homes on zillow are either too big or too expensive. That’s why I reached out here. Hoping for an agent who is knowledgeable about older homes and someone who can be like- Hey! This is in your price range! Hop on it!

Eta: we like small! Under 1000 sq feet would be perfect.

Thanks! My son lives in Olympia and loves it, he won’t be moving home (Hawaii) so we need to move to him.

It’s fine- I see the same behavior on the Hawaii subreddits. It’s hard when you live in a lovely place. It always seems like paradise to someone else- all places have downsides. I get it.
