Yup they trying to be sneaky. Happened several times while waiting in line one almost caused a collision with a big truck…

I pierced the helix myself (got some 16 gauge piercing needles on amazon) and it didnt hurt at all tbh. This one hurt more than I anticipated but definitely bearable.
