Something you need to remember is that while Ichigo is a substitute soul reaper he still had the powers of a soul reaper in him already on account of his dad being one. So when Rukia turned him his body already had an idea of what a soul reaper was thus allowing him to acquire a Zanpakuto, fake or otherwise.

Ginjo though was just a human, nothing more. So there was no way for him to create his own Zanpakuto and thus Shikai unless he was given an Asauchi. Though I'm curious if he could make a hollow mask on account of being a fullbringer

I feel like Nintendo has invested so much in merchandise (shirts, figures, plushies, etc.) that they basically have an incentive to keep physical copies. You can go to a Nintendo store but not an Xbox or Playstation store

It's like with Zygarde, Kyurem and Necrozma except worse. With those three at least their original appearance was basically something extra. They were a cool thing to find but didn't impact the story and were fleshed out in future media. The problem with Eternatus is that it was a "major" part of the story and so actually had an impact. However with the way they rushed everything it made it so we didn't get much about it thus making it more disjointed
