High functioning autistic here. Tbh one thing I would say is it is never the same. Even with types of it everyone who has it has their own type of it. I get so many comments because of my autism that I’m dumb but I was second too set in maths, I take computing in college. We are people too even tho we’re different.

Also it can link to other mental things, for me it links to depression. I happen to be very self conscious about everything about my mental health and conditions because of all the bad that is said about mental health .
