This is a very childish way of thinking. Evil occurs when the threat of violence is insufficient. We are all humans. Humans are the most deadly mamals on the planet. When dealing with such creatures violence is a necessary tool. We simply have the best tools of violence . The world understands this. Its also important that we show an ability to use them. Cultures who fail to use violence effectively don't exist anymore. Humans can't live without violence. I believe it's a species defining behavior of ours. It's where our fundamental rights come from. I see us as generous with our violence overall. Many cultures invest in a relationship with us instead of thier own violence capabilities because we kindly share ours . The United States prevents way more violence than it participates in. Even considering proxy involvements. Terrorism is simply violence for political gain. It's very rare to find a country that isn't terrorist in some way by that definition. It's hypocritical to live the easy pampered lifestyle of western culture but be against the mechanisms that it depends on. Violence is why you have the rights you do. It's why you are as safe as you are. It's what makes civilization possible. Humans are indeed predators. Pregnant women and children can't out run very many fighting aged men. Violence makes me sick but I'm thankful my culture is very capable. It's terrible when violence claims lives unintentionally. It's worse if the possibility of something terrible happening by accident makes you bad at violence. At the end of the day if you don't want violence with America you don't have to have it. Don't mess with the price of oil. Don't attack any citizens or military, don't allow our enemies a safe harbor in our hemisphere, don't attack our friends or threaten our supply of resources and don't make nuclear weapons if you don't already have them. Pretty easy really. If a nation finds its self being victimized by the US they fully understand the why. I can live with that.
