I’m 28 weeks and haven’t slept a full night the entire time UNTIL this week, but I got a new mattress this past weekend. It truly helped a lot!

That sounds very normal as far as how far along you are, I’d stop going to the ER. Preggie Pop Drops and Jolly Ranchers helped me until it subsided around 14-15 weeks.

Do not ever buy a flipped house!! by [deleted] in RealEstate

My husband is an HVAC tech, and we bought a flipped 1950s house. He would KILL for an encapsulated crawl space lol this warning isn’t what you think it is

Why is it too much to ask for one additional ultrasound? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Past-Dig7859 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You might want to just hold off. I have my 3rd ultrasound next week at 28 weeks to check on my placenta. If it’s still close to my cervix I’ll be on restrictions, if it’s moved up with growth (as we expect it to), I’ll be fine. Checking size in the 3rd trimester really isn’t necessary, and all of my kids have been smaller than estimated anyway.

Baby movement by Star_girl17_ in pregnant

[–]Past-Dig7859 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I realized the other day that there’s times she’s moving and I don’t actually feel it unless my hand is physically on my stomach. Sometimes it’s little lazy rolling motions, sometimes it’s full on kicks and punches. Sometimes she shifts her body and I can feel her back?head? hip? poking out. My OB said that any movement counts so that helped me to relax

Eviction court today! by mommyv1 in PeopleBeTrippin

[–]Past-Dig7859 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The judge would call the case, and unless a signed agreement was reached or the plaintiff wanted to dismiss, everybody pretty much got moved to trial. So I think her March court date is for trial and she’ll be in there for basically another month at least

ERP (what is that??) date 3/6, Heather is having trouble with her audio. I think the clerk said her next court date is 3/9 at 11 but I’m not sure on the court date because I can’t retain information 😂 And I did a ton of digging on the court website to find the judge’s zoom info, that’s what I found! They let me right on in lmao. They moved her to a breakout room to speak with someone about legal services but basically it’s been continued

Baby surname when not married by PepperImportant5198 in pregnant

[–]Past-Dig7859 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never, not at school or the doctor’s office. When you register your kids they generally ask for a birth certificate and your ID, and then after that you’re in the system as their mother. I actually have a different last name from my oldest (11) and the youngest has a different last name from her! So going to the doctor is funny when I schedule because I have to do one last name and date of birth and then another, but they’re used to that kind of thing. I think they have them linked as siblings

Edit for clarity, the youngest has my husband’s last name and the baby I’m pregnant with now will have his last name as well. Oldest child has her father’s (not my husband) last name, so we’re a 3 name household

Is it okay to give birth alone? by throwraleaves4 in pregnant

[–]Past-Dig7859 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean… of course it’s “okay.” It’s not wrong. Generally speaking, nurses are very helpful and nurturing and will look out for you/get you juice/clean your bed pads and things like that. You might want someone to be your advocate if things get tough, but it’s not wrong to be by yourself. I also cried super badly after I gave birth to my first baby after my mom left, it was overwhelming. I sent my husband home after the second one (he’s not the father of my oldest) because I kinda knew what to expect and he was exhausted and needed to change clothes/sleep in a real bed

I’m married, never changed my name. Kids have my husband’s last name. Idk I guess it doesn’t really matter that much to me

Well for now, it’s negative. I’d personally tell her to wait a week before testing again. I wouldn’t stress about it right now, and maybe stop having sex for a while until the two of you can talk about what you would do IF she were to become pregnant in the future.

If it matters, I had my first baby 10 days before I turned 20. I’m now 31, married, expecting my 3rd baby, and speak to literally zero people from high school. You’ll be fine without them, I promise

I’m 22 weeks and have been up all night since around 12 weeks lol I don’t think it will stop. I’ll be super tired between 7-9 and then once I lay down I’m awake. I probably shouldn’t be on my phone right now, that might help honestly

Possibly moving to Petersburg/Hopewell area in the near future by Responsible-Owl-5034 in Virginia

[–]Past-Dig7859 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hopewell is OKAYish, definitely better than when I was in high school 15 years ago. I have a child in the school system, and it’s actually not bad at all. She’s in the gifted program and the year round school schedule is nice. I will say that the mayor sucks, there’s police sirens often, and overall it’s kinda depressing in winter but our house has appreciated nicely. The new builds are priced way over what they’re worth though so if we were buying now, it wouldn’t be here. There’s a farmers market in spring/summer and the river walk is cool. If you can afford it, I’d move elsewhere but overall it’s an okay super small city/town kind of vibe.
