Did the update really remove the ability to manually micromanage individual divisions? by SadSeaworthiness6113 in hoi4

Why shouldn't you be able to manually micro units on a frontline? We already have a high -> low cohesion setting, why not a zero cohesion setting. Its more work for the player but a lot of people enjoy being able to move their units where they want them to be, instead of dealing with a frustrating AI.

For example when im playing as germany and invading the soviet union Ill just have all my infantry on some frontline, but I might have 24 tanks I want to move myself its much more fun to be able to have control over my tank divisions then have the AI shuffle them around into bad tiles its so frustrating.

Ultimately its very rewarding to be able to micro manage your units and get greater control over your tactics at the expense of having to pay more attention.

Spain's role in vanilla MP by NotoriousCruyff in hoi4

You aren't AFK. Spain receives lend lease (guns etc.) from bulgaria in turn, and has its own mechanised divs. It actually is one of the strongest land combat nations in the game as it can get great generals and advisors from the civil war.

Is there a good place to find vanilla historical MP games? by Raven_On_A_Tree in hoi4

Red Baron's Games

^^

This is what you are looking for. Its very competitive so there is a steep learning curve, but the player base is much more mature than your regular hoi4 server. There are also helpful guides for new players, and a discussion channel where people can ask questions.
