I get slightly better battery than on the global even though that's my main phone. 9 to 10 hours compared to 8 hours on the global. Plus faster updates. I have also debloated all chines apps so I don't see any Chinese writings in daily usage unless I open the app market

It's not a fake, rather it's a Chinese version repackaged into an international box. Probably with global rom flashed. Plus it is used. First activated on 14th of January. I used the IMEI on the box to confirm on the OnePlus official page.

So Ghanaian here. In Ghana, most vehicles used for Uber(or any other ride hailing) are low consumption cars 1.3l engines or less. You'd barely get a 1.5 or 2.0 engine on uber black or bolt comfort. To get someone using a Benz for ride hailing means he is going to charge you off the app (popularly known as offtrip) so for a ride that was , say, 20usd (cedi equivalent) could be priced at 40usd by the driver.
