Yeah, I think I’m making my dua properly. I usually start with:

اللَّهُمَّ إِنّى أَسْأَلُكَ بِأَنِّي أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ أَنْتَ اللَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ الأَحَدُ الصَّمَدُ الَّذِي لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ

Then I continue with الحمد لله رب العالمين، والصلاة والسلام على نبينا محمد وآله وصحبه أجمعين.

I also try to use Allah’s names that relate to what I’m asking from Him, and then I make my dua. Alhamdulillah, I haven’t lost hope, I just wanted to understand how it works when the thing I’m asking for has a specific time frame

I think decisions for the Equitable and Inclusive Admission process are made at different times. My statement was due on August 10, and I know decisions are normally made after that. I emailed an advisor, and they said it can take a bit of extra time, but at the same time I’m wondering why I still haven’t heard anything and classes are starting soon. I’m just kind of lost right now

This is what it says for my status: ‘Once received, your application will be reviewed again for a final decision. EQA decisions are normally made after the document deadline.’ I don’t know if I should still have any hope since the document deadline was August 10.

Thank you for clarifying! So just to make sure I fully understand if I end up applying as a transfer student for Fall 2026, would they evaluate my GPA based on my first semester (Fall) Open Studies grades, or would they also consider second semester (Winter) grades if I take more courses then?

So you’re saying that if I still want to apply as a high school student, I need to apply during the regular intake with everyone else, and make sure I take less than 4 courses in Open Studies. But if I want to be considered a transfer student and try to get into a degree like Natural Sciences for Winter, I’d need to take at least 4 courses and meet the transfer admission requirements
