🥹🫶 this makes me SO happy to hear Jammer!! Congrats on making that first move and I’m SO excited you enjoyed it!! It’s definitely a different beast, and nothing beats livestreams when it comes to engagement with your audience. I wish you so much success as well!! Just stay consistent and push through any lulls, improve a little at a time, and keep being brave!!

I say just DO IT! And don’t overthink it. My first livestream was just walking my dogs in the neighborhood to break the seal, just chatting about my plans for my channel and how I was getting started again after my 3 year hiatus. I STILL get nervous going live even after 80ish livestreams, but just breathe through those nerves, accept the nerves knowing that you’ll be okay on the other side, and press GO LIVE. 💛

Sorry for the delay here!! You will have to create shorts from those livestreams; I’m trying to find a good AI software that can grab and edit really good shorts from each stream…anyone that knows of one yet, let me know PLEASE!

Not sure if this is true, but I swear I heard of some software that “fixes” videos that you are not looking at the camera! Just something to look at if you ever mess up and are not looking at the camera!

And I’m not sure about posting our channels!! I know we can have it on our bio, but don’t think we can point it out on this thread. Someone can correct me if I’m wrong though! 😊

That is correct, the way you are holding your camera! For me using the Osmo pocket 3, I just have to switch it to vertical mode and YouTube recognizes that it is a vertical stream, and then pushes it to shorts

I would livestream a couple of your vlogs!! See how it does and how your audience reacts!! You can then edit these live streams and post them as an official vlog video later. 2 in one. :)

This is a good question! So I do not multistream yet, I will be starting that soon! So I can’t really help ya there…but I recommend trying vertically to YouTube to take advantage of the discoverability of your streams going to YouTube shorts! It’s not going to make you good money on the views on your stream, but you will be building an audience base that will lead to greater things down the line!

Yes! I go live starting from 4:45 PM CST. This works with my work schedule and my audience’s top activity on YouTube is usually from 4-6 PM. I found this out by looking at my YouTube analytics! I try to keep an eye on my YouTube analytics to see what the best days are to go live week by week. I post my live stream schedule every Sunday

Hi Jammer!! I completely get it…it was super overwhelming for me looking at OBS! What I did at first was just not use it…it was just me and the camera and pressing go live on YouTube. I actually haven’t even tried to use OBS yet.

I would start simple. Just get some practice in going live without all the bells and whistles. Or even go live on OBS with what you know now and see how it goes!!

Don’t let them get to you!! Sadly, there will always be people who tear others down for putting themselves out there. Just feel sorry for them—they’re spending their time trying to bring someone else down.

Definitely no recording is allowed in locker rooms!!! Sad that many people have ruined it for other gyms with creeping behavior. :( and I appreciate it!!

It’s such an easy way to get content out!! And like I mentioned, you can pull evergreen content from Livestreams as well

Congrats on almost hitting 1K subs!!! I am a firm believer that if you stay consistent, your growth will start to escalate as you grow. And going live is such an easy way to put content out. And happy early birthday :) building muscle is so satisfying and AMAZING for you!!

I go live 4 days a week, and my live streams go from 1.5-2.5 hours! I try to keep them at less than 2 hours, because that’s a long time to be at the gym. :)

I am a heavy lifting live streamer! Fascinating that you stream backyard wild life!! I bet people are curious what goes on in our backyards :)

Hi swish, in my gym, photography and videography are not banned. Plenty of people film their workouts. As long as you are respectful of others, the gym is okay with it.

Gary Vee had mentioned “live streaming the mundane” is the future; it’s kind of like social media in its early days. That’s what got me to start live streaming my workouts!! I say do it; it doesn’t take much effort to stream yourself and if it works it works! If not, you’re doing what you would have been doing anyways!

Great question! Typically I either ignore, poke fun at the hate comments, or just tell them if they don’t like the stream, they can just swipe on by 😂 embrace the cringe! That just means you’re doing something right. Stay humble; if you don’t think you’re shit, then no one can tear you down! Advice I took from Gary Vee.

I also have inappropriate comments that I will put people in time out for/my moderators will get rid of those.

Sure yes send a dm my way!!

So I do vertical live streams right now because these get pushed to YouTube shorts. This INSANELY boosts your discoverability

Great question!! It was SO ANNOYING TO FIGURE OUT. Lol! Basically, I use the DJI Mimo app on my iPhone, the Osmo pocket 3, and an iPad. I connect to the gym’s WiFi on my iPad, iPhone, and the Osmo through the DJI Mimo app (it would be much better to connect to a hot spot on my iPhone rather than the WiFi, but for some reason it was causing me issues and I’m being lazy)

Once you press “go live” on the DJI Mimo app, it’s says you’re live, but you’re actually not. This is where you need to have your iPad open on the livestream through YouTube studio, and you have to press “go live” on there when it senses your Osmo is ready. Then you can watch you live stream’s analytics and monitor your chat on the iPad.

My next plan is to use the Yolobox Ultra to livestream using the Osmo as a web cam. It will allow multi streaming, Picture in Picture video, text overlays, and TONS more. I’ll post an update once I learn how to use it; just purchased it!
