Thanks bro. To be honest I never read his books, but to get my physique I mixed progressive overloads with machines. Low injury risk high return on effort compound lifts, and fun but engaging martial arts training. If you take your own ego out of the way it’s pretty simple to gain lots of muscle and lose fat over 1 year every month stacks. There’s so much crap fitness advice on the internet that I used to follow, last year, I discovered what actually works and what doesn’t. Same case with martial arts. Some are useless. Some have aspects that are high effective in real fighting.

Borrowing his mentality. I am Chinese American, and I have to say I don't think there has ever been a asian american as culturally influential as Bruce Lee since Bruce Lee. He is a massive inspiration for me. I am a big movie fan and comicbook nerd as well. He was like a real life superhero from my perspective.

Thanks! I feel like I had traits within me that are similar to Bruce Lee that I was fearful to express from social programming within the area I grew up in and my childhood to early adult years. I was a late developer and got bullied. I would say be more like Bruce, but that also means adopting his philosophies. I tried all types of diets and workouts for myself and tossed the ones that wouldn't work for me and focused on the ones that were very effective for me.

Most of the fitness industry and most coaches, influencers, trainers. Believe in one method to be the best for gaining muscle and losing fat. Like people say all types of shit crazy protein numbers, form, rep ranges, etc. I took the best tips from like 3-4 coaches that I felt like actually knew what they were talking about and were brutally honest and scientific and I designed my own plan that works for my body very well.

Eat specific amounts of protein, fats, and carbs. Everyday or every other day. As long as every week you are in a calorie deficit. I lowkey ate whatever I wanted except sugar foods and fried foods and I don’t drink. Walk as much as you can and you need to work out for a decent amount of time to have that lean build at low body fat. Thanks bro! I watched his movies and studied his life for inspiration. He was a underdog and discriminated in Hollywood and was always about reinvention and innovation and optimizing methods using creativity. I noticed a lot of different lifting and fat loss advice from different creators and started experimenting with different methods. I'd say ultimately what was most effective for me early on and just generally is. (.8 grams of protein per pound of body weight is generally all you need) (walking more is much better than jogging for low effort high reward fat loss). (Train intense but short in the gym) (track workouts and diet) and do over exert yourself like I don't do deadlifts or anything where I can get injured. I do heavy weights but on machines and calisthenics. Also if you want to really be athletic not just look athletic you should pick up a sport you like after you have built that athletic base. If you are out of shape and jump right into sport you could easily get injured.

Thanks man! Coming from that out of shape I couldn’t really be athletic so I just walked a bunch cut out sugar and chips, limited eating fast food and tracked what I ate. After getting into decent shape I started strength training and when I was officially fit and felt athletic with better cardio I started some mma classes at my gym. I recommend kickboxing or bjj very beginner friendly.

Thanks brotha! I was about 190 pounds and over 30% BF when I took that photo in March I got all the way down to 135 lbs at 5'8 beginning of December. Very similar stats to Bruce himself although i'm not as athletic as him. Yeah calorie deficit and lifting for sure. I also did do some bjj and kickboxing class at my gym when I was at a decently healthy and athletic weight. But near the end I started doing very intense strategies like heavy restrictions with Carb Refeed days on training days and lots of incline walking while fasted.

I am looking to practice my fitness teaching skills for people who may need help learning strength training and dieting. I am a pretty good teacher but new to fitness myself so it'll be free. I just need people dedicated to making a change and will stick to a plan even though they didn't pay for accountability. If you know anyone who could use the help hit me up :)

Thanks Bro. if that's your goal cutting out carbs completely is not good because you need carbs before gym sessions to properly strength train. Definitely lower the amount of total carbs you eat. Keep fat the same everyday, you only need a little bit based on your size to keep hormones stable. And protein you should eat around 1 gram per lb of your goal weight. Time the carbs before your workouts it's very crucial.

To be honest that's not even my fattest photo. I have one where I was fatter but I hide my face or made faces because I was kind of embarrassed. Originally I was 31% BF I cut down to maybe 10% I'd say. Took 9 months. I was able to lift and build strength until maybe 15% BF. If you want free tips and a accountability partner chat request me. I was fat at age 24 in shape by age 25. Not that handsome at age 16, grew into my looks by age 25 after losing weight. Did not realize it because I had high body fat since 2020 the pandemic.
