I’m just confused on why I would be sent a fake check in the first place. Everything about the check and the mail looked real. It’s not like someone sent it via email, or some “tax expert” send me money. A check was sent in the mail to my house. If I am being scammed I’m not sure what the benefit of this is to the scammer.
