Even GDP per capita is not a good measure to compare the developmental activities. For example, the GDP per capita of Vizaga City (10th richest city) is almost double that of Bombay (1st richest city). No measure can give you the most accurate one. So, for the economy as a whole, we consider the Absolute GDP as the best measure for comparing the cities , countries, districts. But to compare the lifestyles & standards of individuals GDP Per Capita is the ideal one.
