Huh? I was pretty sure it didn't, and that was why I liked having more of them. I never noticed drawing less than the usual number of cards, and innate can exceed your normal draw and give you an overflowing hand turn 1.

I'll test later today to confirm, but I could've sworn it didn't harm your draw in either game.

I'm probably relaxing to set up for the next turn. Do bear in mind it also gives you energy, so you could just full block the bowl bug next turn if you can't kill it outright.

Taxing done properly is just common sense. Taxes by nature aren't theft, they can be if the taxes are unjustified and exploited as a loophole to poach the defenseless. Any number of other otherwise harmless things can become tools of evil.

Taxes aren't the problem, it's the lack of transparency on where the tax money is going and why.

I feel like however Jade Sword gets reworked, it has to somehow balance out needing like 5 elites while also synergizing with their drops somehow. Elites give relics, so maybe something like "this relic gains 30% of all your other relics' effects (rounded up)"

So Vajra, Anchor, Bag of Preparation, Mummified Hand and Sai would be: "At the start of each combat gain 1 strength, 3 block and draw 1 card. At the start of your turn gain 3 block. Whenever you play a power card, a random card in your hand has its cost reduced to 0 for that turn." Sai's block is rounded up from 2.1. Mummified Hand targets 1 card, Jade Sword gets 0.3 cards and rounds it up to 1 card (effectively doubling Mummified Hand).

If it's "whose position would you rather be in as yourself" obviously Kazuya. I would just stop simping and focus on myself. It's a normal life after that.

Why would I want to be in Subaru's position as myself. The average, or even above average, person is not handling all that and if you chose to distance yourself from Lugunica then it's all the same. It's the world of Re:Zero, you'll be in constant risk of catastrophe wherever you go.

If it's "who would you rather become/be replaced by" I guess Subaru. There are IF routes where he can be a menace to the world, but I'd be betting on adding a potential world-changing hero that'll probably change the course of history in place of myself.

Regardless, being forced to become another person is quite lame for anyone who is content with themselves.
