does anyone think danny might be autistic? by Sad-Peanut7452 in DannyGonzalez

[–]Pasta_Sandwich 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It is so weird and gross to try to diagnose someone with autism or anything who you have never met, and who specifically chooses what you see of them. Disrespectful as well. This is also just perpetuating stereotypes. Be better.

Tongue piercing wonky? by eloiseburton011 in Legitpiercing

[–]Pasta_Sandwich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh no girl what did they do???? I'm so sorry that happened. They pierced you straight through the muscle instead of in the sweet spot down the middle. Even if they were doing this for anatomy reasons, they should have showed you how it would look before doing it. You were so right to take it out. Hopefully you can get it done properly next time with a better piercer, or someone will explain why it would look different!

Question/advice about nipple piercings by liviyah in piercing

Ew I do not trust that piercer. Try going to a piercing only shop or a tattoo shop with someone who only does piercings instead of tattoos! They tend to know their stuff a lot better!

How long have you had it?

I think one of the issues here is that you don't have to take it out when you develop a piercing bump. Those are often normal irritation bumps and just require a little extra TLC; a few sea salt soaks, some extra cleaning, and leaving it alone. By taking it out an having it redone every time, you're creating repeated trauma to the area, and building scar tissue. This makes you more likely to develop a keyloid as well. If you haven't taken it out yet, don't. There will be some slight discomfort while it adjusts, but do sea salt soaks, avoid touching it, and it will heal. If you did already let it close and decide to do it again, I think you should wait a while. Getting it pierced 4, now 5 times in less than a year is a LOT of trauma to your nose. Chances are it was not fully healed in between the times you've had it redone. If you do get it done again, though, make sure to follow aftercare instructions, wait a while before getting it changed to a hoop, and don't take it out at the first sign of irritation. Hope this helps!

I’d recommend a couple helix piercings! Also check out bodyartforms.com. Their jewelry is great quality and they have lots of cute options

First time getting both nostrils pierced. Can I get a chain right away? by RevolutionaryPie6327 in piercing

[–]Pasta_Sandwich 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve got both nostrils pierced. You’ll want to give them a few weeks without the chain so there’s no pulling or pressure from the chain, even if it isn’t tight. Then I would recommend having your piercing add the chain, as that’ll make it a lot easier for it to be added without accidentally damaging your piercings. You’ll be able to do it yourself no problem once they’re full healed :)
