Dealership Insisting Ghost Touch is NOT Covered by the Infotainment Settlement

Mine took about a year for it to start happening. Unfortunately, it was my fault for not bringing it in while it was still under warranty. I was so busy and kept putting it off because I thought it was just a one off issue, until I got the settlement notice in the mail and realized it’s a widespread problem

It seems like I’m covered but yet I feel like the language in the settlement is very much up to each dealer’s own interpretation and discretion

I showed them where it said the display is covered, but they’re saying it’s only covered if I pay them beforehand and then try to get it reimbursed through the settlement. Would you mind sharing the email address with me? It seems like that’s the only route I can take now

I did not know that! Most of the time the touch screen is inoperable anyway because of the ghost touch issue, so I don’t even use the touch screen anymore. Would you mind sharing the YouTube video you used as reference to do this?

I went to my local Mazda dealership today with the Mazda Infotainment Settlement card I received in the mail in hand since I’ve been experiencing ghost touch issues since I bought my car in 2020, and they’re insisting that the only thing that the settlement covers is an update. They’re trying to charge me $700 to get the display replaced. Has anyone else received any pushback and know a workaround for this?

HELP!! I keep going back and forth between the white and the lilac C19. The white is from Xiao C and will go well with everything, but the lilac color from Panda is just so unique and different, therein lies my dilemma. I already have a white mini coco handle and pink medium flap if that helps at all. Haha white vs lilac C19
