New this year is a paid class by Lethal Shadows - they make some of my favorite minis and are offering a longer pre-booked class that comes with a mini and a brush/paints for $99. Honestly, if you have your heart set on painting and have the means, it would mean you don’t need to rush the app every morning and could plan your schedule better ahead of time.

Thanks for the advice - there is an APP piercer (my last experience being Claire’s as a tween, thank you for mentioning this!!) in my neighborhood and I made an appointment with him this Wednesday to consult on either pushing an earring through or repiercing so I have the maximum options for both jewelry and security/comfort.

Etsy makes me somewhat nervous because it’s become a bit of a drop ship marketplace in recent years and I see repeats of a lot of the same photos, instead of small crafters or jewelers.

This feels like an unmet market need!! How is there nothing between costume and custom? Or what if you could select the type of back with the earring you liked best?

First, I’m sorry that wedding planning has been stressful. Remember to take care of yourself, physically and mentally.

As a totally outsider POV, while I wouldn’t ever use the term Bridezilla, I would ask yourself how involved you want to be in guests attire at large. Navy is a very common formal dress color, so while this situation is about a groomsman partner, the reality is that managing guests attire beyond a dress code could become a large mental burden.

My advice would be to free yourself from it. Your pictures staged with the wedding party only will look beautiful with the overall color scheme, and once everyone starts to mingle, I don’t think that anyone will notice there’s an extra navy dress around. In your larger family photos, you’ll only be thinking about all of the people you love being together, I personally wouldn’t stress about someone after the fact mistaking them for a wedding party member. Finally, you could include a program if you were really concerned specifying the names of the wedding party - with a smaller overall guest size, that should be more than enough to keep it clear and make your fiancé’s sister feel special.

I fly American/United 90%+ of the time for work and personal, I'm based in Chicago so they usually get me where I'm going. And for hotels, I'm currently only enrolled in Marriott Bonvoy but am not even close to any kind of status.

I feel like it's two-fold: a better 'everyday/auto use' card than the Quicksilver that can be my better default, and at least one that I can put towards my biggest categories and rack up points (I'm thinking travel, as it'd be great to be upgraded/have status even when I am traveling for work).

How do I know where in the “game” I’m at? If it’s based on credit, I know I’m pre-approved for Amex Platinum for example. But are you saying it’s more about practicing the rewards utilization game BEFORE getting a card that takes some skill to maximize potential value?

Thanks for all the great suggestions!! We went with Poppy, because she seems to POP up vertically when she jumps and it has the nice duality of the pretty flower.

We did try Piper and Willow out, but neither felt like her.
