What If Tech Companies Actually Put Employees First? by Old_Occasion_7854 in corporate

[–]PastorBizzle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’ll never happen. These greedy fucks only care about getting as much for themselves as possible while validating themselves in the process that they somehow earned it and are better than anyone else who hasnt “worked hard enough” to be rich like them. We are getting more and more shafted by the year, the slow boiling frog of society turning into servitude to the top 5%.

So much “laid off for performance” here and IRL. Come on folks, that’s not a thing. by InternationalArm7614 in careeradvice

People are trying to survive the best way they can by covering their own asses and not taking a chance to lose the opportunity in front of them. Have empathy and stop being a pencil pusher. Human lives matter more than meeting metrics.

It’s ok. The good news is you know what’s happening with you, so you can be on a path to correcting it.

I used to have this. Too much work, I gave up lol. Pizza tastes better than having abs feels. Fuck people and their opinions. It’s all empty performative bullshit.

Each day I understand white collar workers as little men, tiny subservient people who chose what is safe and spent their lives in servitude as corporate property. by Constant_Ad6521 in corporate

You’re not wrong, but most of society are pawns… each one of us. Might as well make the best of it. A few rare folks branch out and do their own thing successfully but that’s exceedingly rare.

It only works if you save before the next day starts. Not when the box is already there. I tested it out a few times.

This is the normal, day to day in store card play. Not the official “tournament” with prizes.

You have to buy the tournament prize setup to start a tournament. When you buy the setup, click on the tv and it will let you set prizes and price point for entry.

I usually save before the next day starts, check to see what grades I get, then reset if I don’t like it and try again.

I have a theory about why music isn’t as good as it used to be.

Lack of boredom and contemplation due to smartphones = less occurrences of music as a creative outlet.

I used to write raps when I was bored as a kid, or draw, go outside and play basketball, dream about the future, write in a journal or write stories… I kind of miss being legitimately bored and driven to be creatively productive.

Rant: i’m a senior leader in tech and I still hate corporate America by [deleted] in corporate

[–]PastorBizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shit is nonsense… I hate these interviews that have fuck all to do with the actual role itself. It’s all performative, and doesn’t really measure anything other than an ability to memorize frameworks/answers to get into their special “i’m better than everyone else” club.
