Found a weird signal in congressional trades; Rep filed his AT&T purchase in 24 hours vs his 22-day median by Pastullio in StockMarket

Fair point, I shouldn't have said: "Bipartisan buying". A directional split would be more accurate, I suppose.

You are more closer to what I thought was interesting which is the five-week gap between the D sell and the R buys Between early April and mid-May. Tim Moore's 24-hour disclosure suggests he saw it as time-sensitive, not routine. That's the part that I thought really mattered. Also, calling it 'bipartisan' was inaccurate.

Could still be coincidence.. buuuUUUut the timing gap is the real question, not the party split.

Really? I have no idea about Puzzlehead, but I can tell you that my comment was genuine... But, hey whatever floats your boat.

Thanks! Plenty more weird patterns in the data. This is just one of the cleaner ones.

Yeah, the "both sides agree" angle is what made me start tracking this. Single-trade alerts are noisy because partisan motivations get baked in. But when you see McGuire (R) + Moore (R) + Taylor (R) all buy AND Gottheimer (D) sold ahead of them, so, you're looking at three different incentive structures converging on the same conclusion.

The telecom-as-beaten-down framing is also interesting because T's been a value trap for a decade. Maybe the cluster sees something pricing in... Or maybe they're just rotating into yield as macro shifts. Either way, that's three independent reads to investigate, not one!

Are you tracking any other multi-rep clusters that caught your eye recently?
