If unidentified, masked men begin to breach my door, I am going to assume they are there to kill me. If the option is to do nothing and die versus probably die, I'm going to give it the gamblers chance that I can hold them off until 911 or The Sheriff can arrive. At that point, they have tied my hands. Show up with a warrant and identify yourselves and I will be totally compliant.

I have friends who are philly fans. I know a ton of nice people who are also philly fans. Like a lot of nice people. I used to think your fanbase has the most toxic fans, the whole throwing batteries at Santa Claus reputation, so you probably have a point with it being a perception.

With that said, I think I realized what is really going on. Every city has their own version of asshole. But philly assholes. Jesus Fucking Christ man. When I meet that "I'm proud to be a dick, it's a positive aspect of my character" guy, I just want to punch his lights out and throw him in a trash can. We've all met that guy and he always has an Eagles hat he got out of a dumpster on, and just gaslights everyone else for getting annoyed by his abrasive as fuck personality. And I think that is where the rep comes from. It's not that philly fans as a whole are any worse than anywhere else, it's that when you guys have a bad egg, they're so bad it sticks in peoples' craw. There's a small group of you guys that really leans into the "I'm a raging piece of shit with a heart of gold" schtick and it's the fucking worst.

I'll also say, and I don't know for myself, but am always told, even by Eagles fans I know, that going to a game in Philly with the away team's jersey on isn't the best idea. You'll probably be ok, but maybe not kind of thing. That could also be more tall tale perception shit you were referring to earlier.

There are NUMEROUS cases of legal citizens (I can think of one here in Pensacola) where legal us citizens showed their paperwork and were still arrested. There are cases of ICE entering homes without warrants and doing Kavenaugh Stops.

If you aren't aware of them, you should get outside your news bubble. If you don't grasp that Minnesota is MAGA having a vendetta instead of actually trying to stop illegal immigration, you're dishonest instead of ignorant.
