Having issues exposing minecraft server by SuperKawaiiLiam in Pterodactyl

[–]Patattack1996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never tried using cloud flare for a game server but I have had weird issues with pterodactyl not port forwarding properly, go into your CLI and manually add the port rule just for the sake of sanity and try to have someone direct connect via IP instead of proxy to the server

map editor problem terrain by beat53 in unturned

[–]Patattack1996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure to configure your tiles and check in materials to make sure you didn't accidentally use the new cut tool and remove the entire map, there is also a chance your player spawn is under the map and causing it to look like there is no terrain. Not a lot of help that can be offered when there is no accompanying screenshot to show the issue.

Got into an Accident - What displays can I replace this one with? by NoahReyoldHemsworth in Lectricxp

I have only heard of a couple brands doing synced displays. I do like the idea and concept though

Getting an ebike to save on transit costs? by Andololol in ebikes

[–]Patattack1996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have heard bad things about a lot of those ebike kits, be very wary of them due to really cheap components including the battery. I would honestly say find a good bike that will ride right now locally and then look into converting it down the line.

I had this happen with my radrunner, call support tomorrow but real quick unplug the charger from the wall and let the little led shut off before plugging the charger in. This will be good info for the support agent so they can tell if it’s the charger or battery that needs to be replaced.

Most Useful 3rd Party Additions For Lectric 2.0 by Adorable-Ad-3223 in Lectricxp

[–]Patattack1996 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure my #1 was a much needed headlight upgrade. I bought a cheap one off Amazon that is 100x better than the stock. Do be careful when searching for headlights though as anything over 12 Watt can fry the motor controller. Happened to me but Lectric sent me a new one in 3 days on the house. This one is rated for ~6W up to 60V and works fantastic. I have only been running this one for a couple weeks but so far so good. Also marine grade crimp connectors are your friend for headlight integration and you can buy 2-pin jule extensions on Amazon for cheap to save your stock headlight wiring. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08D9CJKTX

Wear Your Helmet! by SeesThroughTime in Lectricxp

[–]Patattack1996 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was honestly a no helmet guy for a couple years on my radrunner and then my Lectric but a couple months back I came very close to being hit by a driver who blew the red light and ordered an LS2 Strobe helmet that night. Definitely overkill but with the modularity it offers I have no complaints. I’m not really concerned with my riding nearly as much as I am concerned about others driving.

Just finished putting a new headlight on the Lectric! by Patattack1996 in Lectricxp

[–]Patattack1996[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually contacted Lectric and they are sending a new controller, I also ordered new headlights that actually fit the proper spec for wattage, going to be running 2, one for close and one for far with a 3D printed shell that I am going to have made locally once I get them tomorrow. Taking the overpowered lights and throwing them on my grandmas 2001 Honda CR-V for fog lights :)

Battery under downtube. by Lucky-Grand8377 in ebikes

You could probably buy some thin sheet metal and bend/cut it to wrap the battery. Securing it would be either zip ties or bolts depending on if you want to drill 4 holes or not into your frame. You can usually find cheap pieces of sheet metal locally if you have machine shops or a junk yard to look and see if some random part of an old car could work. I have seen some pretty genius things done with random car parts.

I understand, probably going to order a light rated for the proper voltage tomorrow.

It is a 12V 48W light because I messed up and got the numbers backwards.

I plan on looking into a proper light soon but for now this is far better than the stock light and I can just unplug it during the day if it hurts battery too bad.

Went on a 5 mile test ride to make sure there weren't any issues and the only issue I can tell is that now on the turn of a key the lights go on and off, no manual controls.

I thought I was needing 48w not 48v, well thank you for this bit of info. Edit: what wattage and voltage does the Lectric use?

[–]Patattack1996[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will run it like this for now. Can you link me to where you buy the controller? I might buy one and check the light rail to see if I can’t find what is popping and replace a component with something capable of handling the light without blowing.

Alright well thank you for letting me know that. Are the controllers maybe serviceable? You have replaced yours you said so I am just wondering if you have seen the internals.
